This is one of those rarest of rare cases where I'd part company with LG. Showering at the beginning of a session is absolutely standard and there is no reason to discuss it in advance. It definitely counts against your time. Personally, I think talking about showering at a truck stop is a little weird. I would just go to the room and ask if she minds if you shower. It's never a problem.
OTOH if you are so possessive of your time, shower at the truck stop before you get there. Then you can start right in. But there's no reason to discuss this with the provider.
The one part of your question that has me wondering a bit is the comment about shaving. This is generally a bit above and beyond the expectation of what you'll do in a provider's bathroom. After all, the provider needs to keep the bathroom clean for various clients who will use it over the course of a day. Generally you just hop in the shower and clean off. As LG says, it takes 5 minutes. What did you do – pack a little kit of toiletries? Perhaps if you were involved in a particularly elaborate toilette, it did freak the provider out a bit.
Often I cannot shower immediately before a session because I have to leave from work or because I have to travel a couple of hours to the incall city. I want to be as fresh for her as I expect her to be for me. If I want to take a shower when I arrive at her incall, should the shower time be counted against my hour? Should I ask about this in advance?
I took a shower when I arrived at the incall today and found it interrupted the mood badly. Should I just allow more time so that I can shower and reshave my face and otherwise make myself presentable at a truck stop?
Dear hands_on_a_lot,
I think it's very prudent and considerate of you to ask this question. The easiest thing would be to mention this issue in advance when making plans to see the provider. Tell her that you can shower and shave at a truck stop but also ask if there is a possibility to take a shower at the incall place. That way, the provider will take the lead and let you know what is preferable to her. As for the time - well, you are occupying her space and attention as soon as you are inside her dwelling, so whether you're showering or talking, it's the same thing. I mean, how long can a shower take? Five minutes? To count this as separate from the paid hour seems..well...a little too exacting for my taste, but to each his/her own.
Good thing you want to come clean ![]()

Yes work that out in advance and let the provider decide. I always travel for a rendevoux, by train or plane and sometimes after I arrive I still have a few hours to hang out somewhere before my appointment. So I am always willing to shower and shave first thing. On one occasion I volunteered to shower and we ended up taking a bath together that I will never forget.
I don't think asking about the time would be cool at all. Just assume it counts and don't worry about it. If you are considerate and have a good attitude you will be rewarded very well. When you leave you will be thinking about other things rather than how much time was spent in the shower.

I have never met a lady that would NOT want you to be fresh and clean. Any good provider will have no problem with you showering when you get their. It WILL however be part of your allotted time. As is getting dressed after wards, counting the cash, etc, etc. You are paying for her time and it is important to be respectful of that. Some indie girls are more flexible than others about allowing you a few extra minutes here and their but it should never be assumed.
I almost always book two hours so I don't have to watch the clock where these matters are concerned. Even 90 minutes would probably help ease the pressure a bit. As far as mood interruption, look at it this way. Would you rather take a shower when you arrive and jump into bed ready for action or have to be ASKED to take one once the lady gets near you?
The answer here is clear. I want to primp too much to do it at the provider’s place and on her time. I also don't want to deal with mood disruption. I guess I will investigate truck stop showers.
Showering and shaving takes me about five minutes when I walk in the door. We aren't talking about a bubble bath and steam here...are we? Personally the whole truck stop option seems a bit over the top but hey, whatever works for you.
I still don't grasp the whole mood disruption issue. It's not like you are stopping in the middle of the session to go shower up.
I have a feeling that your perception may not match that of the provider where this entire issue is concerned. At least not the girls that I've seen.

I don't know what part of the country we're talking about but showers at the large chain truckstops will run from $8-$12 and you may have to wait in line for others to finish.

Take it from me, the gals really love it when you show up with a face as smooth as a baby's behind.
Keep a battery operated Norelco in the car.
One favorite gave it to me as a holiday gift and it was a not so subtle hint.
I agree with the girls. you should always shower. The shaving is a little excessive. Most the time a shower is encouraged and offered, but sometimes it is not. However, you should still be clean on arrival no matter what.
May I make a suggestion. Get a multi-site Gym membership. You can shower, shave and do anything else you need to before arriving to a providers location. By having a multi-site membership, you can get a shower anywhere.
If a provider offers a shower -- always take it.
Two other benifits, you can shower after you leave before going home to SO, AND you can lift weights and workout to look better over all.
All problems solved.
That is what I do.
First, thank you for being considerate enough to WANT to shower. You guys are the exception, NOT the rule. At least in my almost six years' experience. I have actually invited clients to shower and they tell me, "Oh I showered this morning at 5am, I'm good." When it's been 8 hours and a full day since your shower, uhm yuck. However, I don't ever know how to INSIST on them showering so they wind up getting no BJ. Sorry, I asked you to shower, you declined and you stink. Plain and simple.
As for the time: I NEVER count their shower against their time. Why? Because I never have back-to-back appointments scheduled and I want you to be clean so badly that the ten minutes I HOPE it takes you means nothing to me.
Now, I'm with the rest of you in that I think it's a little creepy that you'd rather stop at a truck stop to shower, etc. than do so at the lady's incall locale. My step-dad is a trucker and if ANYTHING will kill the mood, bathing at a truck stop will do it. GROSS! Why does it detract from the mood if you bathe at the incall before you get started??? I think it should be a sexy situation, you're in the shower cleaning up, you're rubbing a great smelling soap on your body in the lady's shower where she has likely spent some time herself just before you got there and maybe warmed herself up with the showerhead or her hands....why not think of that to get you FURTHER in the mood? I don't understand and you haven't further explained why a shower took away from the mood!
So, to you fellas who make it common-place to shower every time you start an appointment, I thank you on behalf of providers everywhere. To those of you who DON'T shower....PLEASE DO! I don't care if you showered this morning before work.....you've sweat down there and maybe taken your morning dump afterwards and it isn't fresh. I'm sorry for being so blunt, but it's even worse when it's a guy who doesn't shave or groom his pubic hair (and most of my clients don't do that, either) because the bacteria from the sweat and the rest hangs onto the hair.
So, please bathe. Please.
Love,
Andi
I'm not sure where your step dad stops but the truck stops I shower in every day I'm on the road, 290 days in '08, are far from "gross".
I always shower just before seeing a provider but will admit I usually get a hotel and do out calls. One of the things that sometimes makes me wonder is the providers that don't clean up after the session, that's pretty bad also.
"Twukdriver"
I NEVER clean up in front of a client. Frankly, I don't trust anyone all alone in my space and there's no need for me to go into my bathroom and bathe in front of a client after an appointment is finished and beforehand, they'd complain (rightly so) about me using their time to bathe.
I do not work for an agency and I never have and that means I schedule clients the way I want to schedule them. I never see more than two clients a day and to be quite honest, I usually only ever see one unless I'm traveling. Agencies schedule the poor girls every single hour they can with no more than ten to fifteen minutes in between because they want to maximize the amount of money the agency makes. It's one of the many reasons I wonder why ANYONE sees agency ladies.
It isn't the lady's fault, that's the way agencies are. They work their ladies to the bone. I've known several ladies who work for agencies over the years and when they are out of town, the agencies will schedule them from 6-10 clients A DAY! That, frankly, would just kill me and I wouldn't want to be client number 4, much less numbers 8 or ten in a day. That is why I've ALWAYS been independent. That and the safety factor. Most agencies barely screen, if they do at all and all of them keep extensive records on their clients.
So, I'm not sure why you think you'd ever see a provider showering up in front of you but I don't think most ladies ever would. There is plenty of time to take a shower after you leave without worrying about whether or not you're going to take money from my purse or my laptop or something else of value while I'm in the shower after the appointment is finished. The way it works is after the appointment is finished, the client leaves. THEN I shower in my private time and space.
Andi
You missed the part of my message where I said I use "out calls" to a hotel that I get. I haven't done an in call in years. Generally parking for 75' long semi is not available so for me it's easier to get a hotel.
I think a shower at the incall location adds to the mood. It helps get you properly dressed for the massage. It lets the provided know you care. It may lead to help with your shower, etc. Nothing bad has ever come from a shower at the incall, at least in my experience.
I always aske if one is available when setting appointment, or calling to get rates and availability.
Why was your message all about showering at the lady's incall taking away from your mood, then??
Maybe it's all irrelevent now. But why would you also then think the provider would take a shower at YOUR hotel??? When I see a client at his locale, whether it be his home or his hotel, I take a shower right before I leave my house to see him.
Andi
I'm not the one that was talking about showering at her place. I had just commented on the issue of showing at the truckstop that the other guy had mentioned and that I haven't done an incall in several years as I get a hotel for my comfort.
I commented on ladies that have visited me and not really done any clean up before leaving. Just throwing on the clothes and out the door without even entering the bathroom. I always thought that was kind of gross.
The last time I did do an incall(2 or 3 years ago) I seem to recall using hers before and after.
I never have back to backs either.
