News story on BBC (see link ) about 1.5 million private user photos exposed on dating app sites, including a sugar dating app called "Chica". The story is also running on several other news outlets.
This is why I never put a real photo of myself on SA, though I did put a doppelganger on there.
I remember when they had their breach. I was getting threatening emails to expose me for being on it.
I replied, I'm single and on a dating site. I've already changed my CC used for this. If you want to expose me for being a single guy with a profile that says I'm looking to meet single women go ahead.
In my case, I don't have any. When I was still operational on SA (before being banned - see my other posts) I had no photos visible but would allow girls to see pics once I initiated contact.
I only post photos that can be found elsewhere on the internet. So, if they pop-up, I can always claim. "Of course someone stole that photo. It's from (insert social media platform name here)."
Re: Publicly Available Dude not good. Reverse image search.
Absolutely agree.
Using photos that are available on the web is a bad, bad, move, whatever your social situation. You might as well hand over your full legal name, home address, list of family members, and employment details at the M&G.
