I don't know why but I get nervous before an appointment with a provider. I'm not new to this, I've hobbied a long time. I guess its like the boxer that says he has butterflies until the first punch is thrown. So I guess after the first thrust i'm ok. Is this normal and are other guys like this?

Some providers have asked me if I was nervous. I suspect that many of us are apprehensive that the provider might not like us.

Yes, unless you are completely heartless and emotionless you should be nervous before a meeting. It is in it's own way a relationship and an intimate interaction between you and a complete stranger. I usually am shaking and have a dry mouth until she plants that first kiss and presses her body to mine. Then I forget nerves even exist! It's natural.

I'm always nervous, too, even when I'm seeing a provider I've seen before and feel very comfortable with. However, I like the feeling and use the energy in a positive way.

I've never been nervous. Not even on my first hobbying experience ever. I might be excited with anticipation (translate: a boner), but the feeling was not nervousness.

I get guys who are nervous all the time.  As a TS it's a little different as it's often a first time experience.

But regardless guys, there's no reason to be nervous.  The girls are just girls.  In fact I read somewhere today that escorts are often more normal than "normal" girls.  So long as you aren't walking into a sting, there is no reason to be nervous, even meeting someone for the first time.

The thing is to be genuine and open and friendly, and your provider will know how to do the rest!

If you are nervous sometimes it helps to ask for a back rub, from there oftentimes one thing will lead to another and pretty soon you will forget you were nervous - then you can concentrate on worrying about penis size, and making sure your performance is up to professional standards.

Oh I'm sorry, did I make you nervous again? It's all in good fun honey... remember this whole game is supposed to be FUN - so let yourself enjoy it!

Giggle,
TS Jamie

I don't know why, but I get almost as nervous now as I was the first time. It must be the fear of not performing or her not liking me. But I get over it once I get through the door and she starts talking to me.

Yes, nutandbolt,

It's normal to feel some excitation or even apprehension in the face of meeting [and subsequently undressing and boning!] a new person.

But I'm hoping that you've done your homework and that you're not fearful of TOFTT [I just love those acronyms, they're great to toss around at cocktail parties!]

There is a wonderful definition for the affect condition I believe you're experiencing. It's called EUSTRESS. Yep, it's from the Greek "eu," meaning "good," and thus means "good stress." The opposite would be "distress," which requires no further explanation.

Some legitimate and documented causes of "eustress" would be going on vacation, getting married or getting a promotion. To this, we TER folx might add - MEETING A PROVIDER!!!! Now that would be something to put in the established psych literature!

So go with the flow and feel that eustress...it's supposed to lead to fulfillment!

Here's hoping it does,
the Love Goddess

I still get nervous, but not as much as I was visiting my first provider.  BUT, I still love the ladies, since they all make me shiver.

Hell yes, I get butterflys worse than any I experienced before the Martial Arts tournaments I competed in.
The first kiss usually relaxes me enough to get comfy, and after the first cup the adrenalin is burnt off completely. Then I can really enjoy myself.

I suppose both "conceptions" are somatic  responses, one to mental imagery and thought-stimulation, the other to hormonal induced ripening and female receptivity.  Ever seen a mare in heat when she gets around a stallion?  WHOA!! Look out....
