I go right to my saved searches and their filters.  There I can sort by newest and recently active.

I have not noticed any previously hidden profiles reappearing but  I may not notice.

So I haven't noticed if it changed.

I always go to the search page where I have filters set.

The search page is listed in order of activity.  Most recently active are first.

From my experiences the home page remans mostly as described.

Even signed in using a different browser than my usual and the landing page is the same.

When the landing page "scrolls to eternity" it's very annoying, and fairly useless.  This change occurred for me without my having updated any software, it just happened.  Weird thing is, sometimes the landing page still appears as before, sorted by useful categories!  I can't figure out which version I'm going to get.

I have found the original landing page format very useful, especially in finding desirable newbies.  You've probably noticed this, but when a new SB profile is posted on SA it takes some time (a day or three?)  before it's fully activated and shows up in my search results.  But it does show up on the landing page, when it appears sorted by category.  I always go to the landing page to look at the New Members, cuz quite often I'll see a hot new SB who does NOT appear in my search results yet!  And since I live in Semisiberia, I want to pounce before the competition.

I have not noticed the reappearance of hidden profiles.  Maybe they are there and I simply have not noticed.  Frankly, I don't care, I'm only seeking newbies when I view the landing page.  I have not seen any hidden profiles reappear in my normal search results, they have remained hidden.
