The older the POT SB, the more potential for relationship/kid/debt baggage and that leads to BSC behavior sooner rather than later. . The younger the POT SB, the more potential for flakey behavior; late, NCNS's, multiple rescheduling, ghosting, and unrealistic sugar asks to watch them stuff their pie hole. . But hey, that's the nature of the sugar bowl! Other's have suggested an age "sweet spot" between 24-28 or so. And my own expericne with successful, ongoing SB's (i.e.: I've had multiple BCD sessions) aligns with that range. But that doesn't stop me from looking to add that rare, 18/19 year old possible Unicorn (especially if she's an Asian spinner!) to my rotation.
Had another POT SB lunch yesterday with a fresh faced forty something and it was AWESOME. We seemed to click on all cylinders and had a great lunch and playtime afterward. Hope to get to keep seeing her but yes, I think the sweet spot is that 24ish-28ish range.
And thanks for differentiating between the BSC of the more mature vs the flakeyness of the younger ones. I had never really thought about it in those terms. I'd rather deal with the flakey than the crazy.
