I work with all types of sexual issues. If you are in or near Los Angeles, you can contact me again. If not, then I do recommend the practitioners listed on the AASECT website. Please check if someone is near your town.

I also do sex and life coaching via VOIP, which means my clients live anywhere in this world. However, the issues involved in involuntary celibacy are such that the individual may need in-depth psychotherapy where face-to-face engagement is needed. In addition, a psychiatric evaluation or medication may be necessary, depending on the individual's condition.

Hi LG

I haven't posted on here in quite some time (so long, in fact, my posts are no longer even archived!) --but the last time I DID post here, I described an issue I was --and still am-- having, which, as I recently found, actually has a name (rather than go into the details of it here, I've provided the URL of the Wiki).

It also seems there are actually 2 sociologists at Georgia State who have done extensive research on this condition.

There may or may not be hobbyists on here who actually "suffer" from this condition --seeing as hobbying is one of the ways of dealing with it --although only a "fix" but far from a remedy.

Although "incels", as they (we) are called, are comprised mainly of adult virgins (mostly male) who are so due to extreme shyness, there are also apparently 3 "subclasses" --one of which would be what I would classify myself as: the "single incel" --that is, an incel who HAS had (civie) relationships/sexual experiences (I've had MANY), but is now, for some reason (wish I knew!!), no longer able to.

The thing is, though, with everything I've read about this condition, there's very little said about what one should actually do in the way of resolving it --short of seeing a therapist, I suppose.

Which brings me to why I'm posting this here, LG --do you yourself work with people such as this or know of a colleague who does? (you can PM me if you'd like).

As I mentioned, it's been a while since I've even been on here (although I've been a member for nearly 10 years!), and it would seem that SINCE I have, there have been some significant changes I was not aware of --one of these being my inability for PM's with my current Basic Membership.

With that in mind, I'm not really certain how I would go about contacting you (or you, me for that matter).

I knew a guy in New Orleans(of all places...lol) years ago who confided to me he was a virgin.

He was probably 30, not bad looking and very polite and pretty intelligent. Perhaps that was part of his problem being in New Orleans lol but anyways, I would run into him at a few local gin mills and we would just say hi and drink, check out girls, typical New Orleans conduct.

Never knew his name and one night he blurted out that he was a virgin. I felt bad for him and encouraged him to seek counciling, not really knowing what else to say. Im glad I did but have no idea how he made out. Sure hope he wa able to overcome this very sad psychological condition.
