Curious for opinions of those esteemed TER member that are on SA.  Noticing a very large influx of POT's and and even larger influx of fakes. Even ones with profiles that are several months old. There's always a fare amount of finding the proverbial needle in the haystack but seems especially more difficult the last several weeks. Other's seeing this?

...just as it always has been, but probably even more important now than ever.  First of all most of the newer profiles are not exactly fakes, they are women in desperate need for some $$ who think that an "online arrangement"  is a real thing. I don't know about you, but I'm not on SA to find women who want me to pay for pictures.  Not gonna happen.  Also, many of the previously established, genuine SBs are not willing to meet up irl at this time, and I don't blame them.  the best you can hope for with both these types is generate a little good will and ask them if they are willing to meet you once it's safe to do so.

I encountered a fake profile just this morning and reported "her" to SA.  Her profile said she's going through a divorce, must be 100% discreet and will only date someone who lives at least 300 miles away.  HUGE red flag on this type of scam.  But I can't say I've seen a large influx of fakes.  What are you seeing and how do you know they are fakes?

Many [profiles are several months old, or even several years.  why does that trouble you?  Just today I received a message from a SB I corresponded with 6 months ago.  She says she just got back on and would love to get to know me.  I have zero problem with this.  Several of the most amazing, successful arrangements I've ever had began with message exchanges that spanned months, or even years, before we got the ball rolling.  I play the long game!

I waste little time on some profiles. Today I read a profile of a SB who went on and on about what a great living she made, and that she doesn't need money (give me a break). So, why are you here?

I got an email from a woman in Australia telling me she will be moving to my area and that she needed money for books and she was desperate and had to pay immediately or she wouldn't get into school. She said she could verify her identity by sending me photos, and that she would be eternally grateful, (wink) when she arrived. Um, yea...right. I told her to get in touch with me when she got settled in the US. She told me to f_ck off. So, I'm guessing that's a no? (wink)

The good news?
I did get an email from a really hot-40 some-woman from a South American country who lives in a pricey section of town. She doesn't like the PPM thing as it seems transactional, (meaning she has done it before), I told her that we can set it up in a way where the exchange is seamless and that it's just "detail". Texted back and forth many times. I like her vibe, We're doing an M&G next week. I'll let you know how it goes.

Two dates set up for this weekend. Both are smoking hot 30-somethings. I'm loving life right now. :-)

Or at least she was using the EXACT same playbook. The one that reached out to me was in Wyoming, which of course means that 99% of the country is over 300 miles from her. lol Mine was 28 and only "moderately cute", actually not that cute at all and I barely glanced at her until I saw your post.

I am sure the scam involves travel money, but I didn't have enough interest to even respond to her to find out what the actual scam was. Once you know it's a scam, do the details really matter?

Just like any on-line site to sugar/hook-up/date there will be fake profiles, especially since women can join for free. Given unemployment at 35M and who knows how much underemployment, have to expect a lot of women trying almost anything to pay the bills. If you look, there are a fair number of pots who’s sign up and last login date are the same or cover just two days and they never come back. That’s why I rarely reply to or send a message until the pot has been on the site for a week+.

As you check out enough profiles you’ll find a variety of types and learn to identify potential red-flags. As long as you exercise caution and continue to evolve and avoid red-flags (not just scammers but GPS, BSC, etc.) you can find some sweet/naughty SBs, be it one or two meets or arrangements that last months/years.

I've seen this same [playbook used several times now.  The first time I corresponded just long enough to get to the request for travel money part of the script.  That's always what it is.  I'm glad you enjoyed the post!

It is indeed surprising how many profiles are posted by women who never use the site thereafter, or who come back just briefly as you noted. And some of those profiles appear to be quite legit.  I imagine it some girls need to really work up some courage to put a profile on SA, then they get cold feet and never return.  But here's the thing:  when I see a new profile in my area I can't know in advance if she's gonna stay or disappear.  And i do enjoy being her first contact.  So I don't wait a week as you do.  I send a nice message asap.  Often I've made wonderful arrangements that way, especially if they are newbies who accept my definitions of reality!
