inicky, unfortunately you are far from alone. i have heard similar tales of men faking it when they just knew a release was not going to happen but they didn't want to disappoint their partner. i am sure that quite a few women could be fooled, whether due to condom use or excessive lubrication as in your case, or some other distraction. personally though i cannot fathom not knowing, as i am quite sensitive to the unique throbbing/pulsating of a cock as it is ejaculating. but obviously there are women who are not quite so sensitive to those sensations, or just not so interested.

Have you ever heard of a male successfully faking an orgasm?  I believe I was able to do it with one civvie girl I was seeing.  She was pretty, smart and nice but I just didn't have chemistry with her.  She also lubricated massively (possibly one reason why I couldn't come) and got herself (and everything else) as wet as if I'd shot my wad.  So, in order to bring things to a conclusion I pretended I'd come.  She seemed to believe me, so I did it a few more times before I stopped seeing her.  I always wondered if she really believed me or if anyone else had done this successfully.

Good point.  Hadn't thought of that, although I couldn't use the condom excuse since we didn't use one. I thought that it was possible for a man to have a "dry" orgasm sans ejaculation. In fact, I saw a program about this on a cable show (perhaps HBO's Real Sex, but can be too sure) a while back!

Here is the part that I'm guessing (i.e, talking outta my unqualified arse) that this may be related to having had one's prostate removed and a phenomena that can and does occur with much older gentlemen. LG help please before I get my(unqualified)self deeper into doo-doo on this topic? :D

It is possible to experience orgasmic release within the body without any ejaculation, dry or otherwise.  It takes some concentration and effort to achieve this, but can be very enjoyable and really prolongs the whole experience.  A good tantrika provider is the best way to explore this.

Dry ejaculation is more associated with persons who, perhaps as a result of a prostate operation, have the mechanism of ejaculation without any fluid coming out.

I have done it several times with one provider. I really like hanging out with her but the sex isn't too good. She is more a wham bam thank you maam type or provider. The OP is talking about faking orgasm, not faking ejaculation. I merely used the "empty condom" as an example. It is entirely possible to have an orgasm without ejaculating - yes, it's a dry orgasm. You don't have to endure prostate removal to get there - some men are capable of dry orgasms naturally, or as "mrfisher" points out, through tantra.

Orgasm and ejaculation can be mutually exclusive. The flipside is a guy who ejaculates but who feels almost nothing, e.g. a spouse or partner involved in a fertility program where he is required to masturbate several times a day and ejaculate in a receptacle  [not fun or particularly orgasmic].

From a woman's perspective, dry orgasms are fabulous if you're not trying to procreate - no fuss, no muss,

with all due respect, this particular woman finds the "muss" and mess of sex to be the best part. i have been known to empty the contents of a freshly-filled condom on my body just for the pure sticky warm luxury of it, and to snuggle up extra close after the act just to feel those last bits drip and drool against me. while i have experienced (and enjoyed) serving a man who reached orgasm "dry," it has thus far only occurred after he has gotten me good and messy 2 or 3 times first. i would be quite sad if i had to do without the mess altogether. :(

My impression, based on inicky's post, was that she was a "squirter", or at the very least was well-lubricated naturally. If that's the case, I don't think it would have been very nice to ask her not to get so wet. That would be akin to her asking you if you could get harder or larger.
