I’d like to use these tactics for work as well, but I’ve seen sds pull out their phones with emails open... for all of the world to see.

Unencrypted, non password protected,

Just horrible.  
Not only were they hopelessly messy with their sugar dealings online, they could not keep their mouths shut near coworkers/close friends nor their extramarital affairs farther away from home. Like, I’m not trying to destroy your home relationships! Doing all of the above surely helps speed up that process.  

So, how do you stay on the down low?  

And what are your little reminders to stay that way, an example, “please encrypt your emails, put a password lock on it, and make sure it’s not on the phone you take home to people who might go through it by accident.”

I use email accounts that don't display my real life name.  Therefore the far end emails reveal nothing.  My own smartphone has code or fingerprint to open.  Also for text messages I turn of notifications for certain people, so if a text comes in it doesn't beep or show a banner on the screen.

One thing about all the unsolicited ads that flood our way these days, you can always plausibly deny almost any incoming message as some form or scam or commercial solicitation.

My awesome wife knows what I do and approves of me getting my needs met and having fun, just as I approve of her extramarital activities. I don't give a fuck who might know what I'm doing and whether they approve or not.

Beware as well of the feature in many autos today that will flash up your incoming text notices up on the dashboard screen (which may or may not be controlled by the same means that control notifications on the phone screen itself).  That can be interesting to explain to the person in the passenger seat.

Same for me. I just stop short of talking about it or acknowledging it when people see me with my babies.
