Alcohol, condoms, and erections

Is it possible to be hypersensitive to alcohol to the point where just a glass or half a glass of wine kills any chance of maintaining an erection in a condom? I didn't think so, but today after a string of successful visits with providers where I had no problems with the condoms I feel like I'm back to square one. I had half a glass of white wine and just couldn't keep it up once the condom came on. Before the condom came on, no problems.

Last Friday I saw two providers a couple of hours apart. I had no problems with the condoms at all through multiple positions and two pops with each provider.

Looking back at visits where I've had condom problems, the common denominator is alcohol, but I find it hard to believe that such small amounts could wreak havoc on my erections. And I didn't have any erection issues without the condoms. Could it just be coincidence? Is it all just mental? Or could it be the condom type? I don't get it. But every time I have not had any alcohol at all I haven't had any problems, even with the cheapest latex condoms. I don't know what the deal is.

For what it's worth, I almost never drink alcohol any more except in sessions.

Yes, manypoppins,

Unfortunately alcohol can really be a buzzkill when it comes to erections - with OR without condoms. Of course the condom, perhaps some slight performance anxiety and unfamiliarity with the providers in question may have contributed, but I really believe that the alcohol was the straw that broke the penile back, so to speak.

To improve your odds for maintaining erection throughout the encounter, it's best to abstain from alcohol completely. Alcohol affects people differently; ultimately, it is a DEPRESSANT and should be left alone if you want to have a raging boner. Drinking before or during sessions to reduce performance anxiety is NOT a good remedy. Instead, eat a well-balanced but light meal, get some exercise and try to stay as clear-headed and stress-free as possible.

I didn't think such a small amount could have that kind of an impact, but I can't find another explanation. I'm seeing her again later this week, NO alcohol this time. Just me, her, and her suitcase full of toys. :)

All condoms are not created equal...  the thin ones are much better for sensation.  If you are less experienced with condoms, let her apply it.  My Favs are so good that it is part of the scene.  My favorite is when a lady will apply with her mouth...  as it makes it slick inside.  A cover must move inside enough to cause friction (friction makes it happen) lack of friction is like a numbing cream to me!  The cover must fit right...  enough room for that movement while tight enough in the shaft to stay on.  Condoms come in all shapes these days.

Focus.  I like a bit of background noise to cover our activity & block out street sounds.  More that that can break metal focus.  It sould be like a bubble, the couple inside...  the rest of the world outside.

Temperature:  Comfortable without clothing without excess sweating.

Agree with LG, enough food to not be hungry but not so full to load you down.  Nothing spicy, etc.

Drinks:  Little to no alcohol especially if you are not used to it.  Soft drinks or water.  Avoid excess carbonation which may emerge unexpectedly.  Leave beverages sealed until she opens her selection.  These days everyone is concerned about tampering.

makes my big head want to sleep, so it stands to reason that it would put my little head to sleep also. So of us do not have as an efficient blood/brain barrier than others, or are sensitive to the high glycemic level of alcohol.

I stayed away from the alcohol and guess what, condoms weren't a problem at all. That does it. From now on, no more alcohol! Not even a sip.
