In his May 30th announcement, Brandon goes on to state that the removal of the Income/Net worth criteria is being replaced by a better method of identifying and retaining "successful and generous" members. In his opinion, raising the price is a more accurate means of judging a member's net worth. edited to add: Diamond members will be able to view the new girls exclusively for three days prior to their profiles being released to the general members.
You can read it in his post which had a banner link at the top of the webpage. So, yeah, there is a line in there that says "prices will soon increase." It will be interesting to see how that plays out given that they were constantly discounting to get members. That said, depending on price point it could help keep some of the riff raff out, but I don't know that it is a smart business decision.
I was mulling over the concept that is used for elite status with the airlines. For example: raise the fee to $500 per month but you get 5 days of exclusive viewing of the new girls (super Diamond status) and for $300, the same for 3 days. Suppose the question is: how much would you actually pay to gain access to a site where the majority of current users have been weeded out?
If the response rate improved significantly through improved access such as a 'Super Diamond Level' or 'Gold Daddy Access' as you suggest, and it consistently resulted in at least one new amazing SB per month, I'd pay $500 a month for sure.
Not that it means much, but over at Reddit forum SD are claiming they would still be interested with a 1000/per month cap if it gives them some measurable exclusively.
