I noticed yesterday that my iOS phone app won't let me access new mail from my ProtonMail account. Today, I found the same problem when trying to access from a browser. Switching my connection to UK using VPN solved the problem. . Anyone else notice this? Is this ProtonMail's new policy to restrict access from the US - presumably due to FOSTA/SETSA? . Interestingly, my phone app does show a badge counter of new/unread emails on the app icon. But when I tap it to read new mail, the new items don't show and I can open old items either.
I got a Protonmail account shortly after Sesta. Works fine. I'm using it as my email account with SA now. The only weird thing I've seen is that for a while when using my protonmail to log onto SA from my PC or my iP{ad worked fine, I could not log on from my android phone! Kept getting the error message that "You must enter a valid email address". I told SA about it and they fixed it.
Got an email from PM that explained the access issues... they were hit by a massive, multiple-day DDoS attack that (apparently) succeeded for a while. No problems in the last 2 days.
