SoCal — started seeing those “I events” type profiles again

For those of you who who live in OC / LA / Valley  

Came across an absolutely gorgeous new profile — like a real 10 — turns out her profile states “ looking to meet at the I events here”  

I remember something similar last year — a bunch of  unbelievably beautiful new profiles had popped up with something like “THE events”  

Is it like a glorified escort service posting with fake pictures? Has anyone tried to connect with these type of profiles before

Did a quick search and found two profiles in Newport Beach referencing I Events.  

 
A google search for "what are I events" brought the results linked below.  

 
Then I did a search for "I Events in Los Angeles."  I could not find any event listed that stood out as relevant to a singles meet, or similar theme.

 
Sadly, none of these searches helped me understand WTF these "I events" are.

I never interacted with any of these "ladies". However, my recollection from posts on various boards is that the Love and I profiles were not for an escort operation or clubs, but scammers. That is, they will ask for an initiation fee that will then enable you to attend "Eyes Wide Shut" type events. If you pay the initiation fee  you don't hear from them again.

I've had a few where they would host 'meet and greet' events for $200-300 a ticket.  I never went.  But they said plenty of girls would be there for sex.  Fee to be negotiated with them privately.  So, $300 just to go into a private brothel.
