If you were here last Spring, you may recall my posts recapping how I spent 3 weeks in Manila and Angeles City for vacation. I used SA to connect with about 7 POT's in Manila and actually met with 4 of them. Of those, 3 went on to BCD fun. PPM's were low by US averages, but higher than typical Manila "freelancer" averages at $120-$175, plus a upscale dinner (~$80 for 2). I only looked at POT's from the Manila area, as the POT population in Angeles City was rather low, while the availability of freelancers and bar girls in AC was quite high.  

 
Well now I'm heading back there, this time for a full month.  I'll be spending all but a few days in Angeles, so I've been happy to see the SA POT population in the area grow to reasonable levels.  I can see at least 2-3 dozen active POT profiles that look viable.  I won't start an active search until I am 10 days from departure. Anything sooner is just too early.  And I'll be tweaking my profile at that time for the local market. I'll make the general tone something like:  I'm looking for fun, nothing long term, I'm also open to a travel companion for trips to nearby resorts (Subic, etc.), and I am open to finding my soulmate if I meet the right person (just to add some additional motivation).  

 
As previously discussed, sugaring on travel can be a mixed bag of delights and disasters.  Fortunately, the Philippines, and in particular Angeles City, provides a wide and deep "bench" of easy to find affordable alternatives if a M&G doesn't work out.  

 
Finally, I am open to meeting with a travel buddy from this board for part or all of this trip. I have no problems going solo - I have many years' experience doing so - but it's always better if you explore with a like-minded friend.  Travel dates mid-Feb to mid-March.

There is a YouTube channel run by a Filipina who calls herself The Filipina Pea.  She discusses western male and Filipina female relationships.  It's mostly geared toward marriage minded folks, but she naturally discusses the cultural differences in dating and so forth.  So a view of the Filipina mindset direct from the horse's mouth so to speak.  She's pretty blunt about sexual things, so not a prude by any means.

I have seen many Vlogs from various POV's and agendas about the Philippines. Filipina Pea is one of the more popular ones, but she comes off as a bit stuffy and disingenuous to me.  She appears to be making decent bank from her YT channel, so good for her. But I use other sources to get informed on the issues most important to me.

 
Right now, if you are focusing on the P4P space (and not the "Expat's finding a soul-mate Pinay" space), the Vloggers I find most useful are "AceBachelorCool" and a channel called "AdultingHard" (he also has an uncensored Fansly page).  

 
But any and every Vlogger has their own agenda and perspective. I've learned to look past the hyperbole and sensationalism needed to get viewers and subscribers (needed to make $) and just distill the facts I need to make plans and set expectations.  

Need .more than a week or so heads up unfortunately.  I made commitments.  Maybe next year!

What do you do there when you’re not humping?  Also, why the Philippines, versus say, Thailand?

Two good questions:  

 
1. What's to do? Admittedly, Angeles City offers little non-adult entertainment., especially compared to a US city like Los Angeles. Of course, there are the adjacent activities like drinking, people-watching on Walking Street, live music by talented local bands, and meeting & hanging with Expats from various countries (US, UK, AUS, KR, etc.).  But there are other activities nearby like golf, casinos and card rooms, shopping malls, Subic Bay beaches and resorts (about a 90-minite drive from Angeles). Wifi can be spotty, but as long as your hotel has decent, reliable bandwidth, not really a problem.  Of course, Clark AFB is nearby, a worthwhile location if you are into US military history.  I'll be there for a full month so I suppose I will have plenty of time to find things to do that may require a bit of local travel. Mostly, when not balls deep in a 20-ish petite Pinay, I plan on relaxing by a pool and doing a lot of nothing, like one might do on vacation.  

 
2.  Why the Philippines vs Thailand (or other locations)? Well that's a much bigger discussion. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of web blogs and YT vids on this question, with advocates on each side. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preferences, budget, and schedule.  For me, the strongest arguments for Angeles City are:  
- Locals speak English. It's a required subject in the PH education system.  
- I prefer the petite, natural, 18+ body types.
- Availability of BBFS without significant upcharges

 
There may be any number of people here and across the interwebz who will have a different POV.   They are not incorrect, as far as their preferences go. But as I said, these are MY personal preferences, though I will grant that I have yet to visit Thailand, so my opinions are only informed by my online research.  

 
I don't really want to sidetrack this forum away from Sugaring issues, so I don't plan on litigating the PH vs TH question here going forward. There are other places for international/Asian P4P discussions. Happy to go through DM's with anyone who wants to do a deeper dive.

Just a warning to be careful out there:

U.S. Embassy Bogota is aware of eight suspicious deaths of private U.S. citizens in Medellin between November 1 and December 31, 2023.  The deaths appear to involve either involuntary drugging overdose or are suspected homicides.  At this time, it is not believed these deaths are linked as each involved distinct circumstances, however several of the deaths point to possible drugging, robbery, and overdose, and several involve the use of online dating applications.

Criminals use dating apps to lure victims to meet in public places such as hotels, restaurants, and bars, and then later assault and rob them.  Numerous U.S. citizens in Colombia have been drugged, robbed, and even killed by their Colombian dates.

These types of crimes routinely go underreported as victims are embarrassed and do not want to follow through with the judicial process.

I have travelled extensively over the last 40 years. And I've learned to stay away from high-risk locations at all times. There are many places in South America that are problematic for US and other Western country citizens.
