unable to have an orgasmsad_smile

I'm sure that this has been asked and answered several time, but couldn't find a thread on it.  Normally I have no problem having an orgasm.  Lately, perhaps the last 2 months or so, I've found it more difficult and sometimes impossible to achieve an orgasm.  I'm physically healthy, active and nothing significant has changed in my daily life.   I've noticed that sometimes even if I abstain from any sex for several days, I'm still not able to achieve an orgasm.
I am concerned about this lack of completion.

Unable to have an orgasm or unable to ejaculate, onexguy,

Because the two are tied together but not necessarily one and the same. Since I'm not a physician and you're not being examined by one, it's impossible to say what this is. Despite the "nothing significant" having changed in your daily life, there could be minute alterations that affect orgasmic ability. Masturbatory patterns, for example. If you're masturbating, lay off for 2 months and see what happens. Or, if you are trying to delay orgasm while engaging sexually, you could get into an anorgasmic pattern.

My simplest cure for all this is to return to as much of an animal state as possible. You need to emulate your simian relatives: Fuck without a condom [yes, I know, it entails sex with someone vetted and safe - NOT a provider, alas], quit masturbating for a few months, have as much penile-vaginal sex as you and/or your wallet can handle, and de-stress. Think Sultan of Brunei, really. And no self-stim whatsoever - no porn. And no handjobs or artistic blowjobs either - just P-V sex, much as Mother Nature intended for the carefree Stone Age male.  As to abstaining - make sure it's at least for 45 days. You'll be extremely horny from no self-stim, no half-baked measures and hopefully wall-socket sex.

Barring all that - go see a physician for a checkup,

To answer your first question, no orgasm and unable to ejaculate.  Only able to ejaculate after prolonged masturbation, which I only do occasionally.

Just want to make sure I understand your "simplest cure" method.  No sex of any kind for 45 days, and then only P-V sex after that, without a condom.  Really, 45 day?!  Yikes!  I'll give it a try, hopefully it will work.
thx,

Couldn't you have used another word besides "Slammer"?  You know, something like:

The Big House
Lock-Down
In Isolation
Gray Bar Hotel
Behind Bars (ok, this one might be misconstrued)

Or something else?

You know us guys, we're a little sensitive when it comes to our uniquely male appendage and references to "Slamming" or any other violent connotations.

LOL!

(Female equivalent I guess could be the always lovely mammogram)

As men get older it is not terribly uncommon to develop either "delayed orgasm" or "anorgasmia (inability to have an orgasm), at least on occasion.  You don't give your age so hard to know if this applies.  There are a number of medications that cause this, and you can find what they are by googling the above terms.  Going off the involved medication may get rid of the problem.  Some articles refer to using Viagra to help this problem, but that is probably not well documented.

And there are of course psychological causes.

There are several nationwide medical groups that specialize in this problem as well as premature ejaculation, which is of course the opposite extreme.

And, until it resolves, try to just go with the flow and enjoy the long ride.

But in the end it probably happens to everyone at some time, and you can just sit back and enjoy the ride.
