Female condoms?

I am new to this hobby coming off a long  monogamous relationship. I am gewnerally enjoying the experience unfortunately I am having a difficult time adjusting to condoms, i.e. after the condom is put on I start to lose my erection.  I will mention BBBJ is not a problem for me.  My ATF and I were discussing solutions (no not uncovered) and she mentioned female condoms as a possible solution.  So I was wondering:

1.  would this help my experience
2.  are they safe
3.  what are the best brands and where do we get them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i've experimented with them and was quite happy. i have had the accasional lady object to them as 'ungainly'. however it was possible to work out a compromise of alternating between the male and female condoms.

in response to your questions:
1) they certainly helped my experience, you can only try and see.
2) safety statistics for FCs are slightly poorer than for MCs. it is not clear if this is a significant difference as there is no reason of physics/chemistry for there to be a difference. the statistics may simply reflect improper use.
3) if you Google on female condom you will find a number of mail order places.

it is important to use _a lot_ of water based lubrication with FCs. if anything 'crinkly' is going on you haven't used enough.

have fun.

I have had the occasion to use a female condom with a lady once. They have their benefits and drawbacks, but I wouldn't hesitate to try it again.

If inserted by the lady prior to the beginning of festivities, they can be something to work around when it comes to DATY, but nothing insurmountable. The early preparation by the lady can avoid the issue of it being crinkly and not up to body temperature (at least be the time you get to it).

As mentioned, lube in the female condom does help, but there can also be such thing as too much of a good thing. Inadvertently overdoing the lube can leave things so slippery that you lose a good bit of sensation and wiggle around. Like many things, it is a matter of experience, practice and patience on the part of the woman.

I personally love female condoms and have never had a client complain.

1) I think it helps the experience because the guy doesn't feel so restricted with the tight ring around his penis.  I also think the feeling is increased and is more real.

2) They are safe, but are often used improperly.  Some guys try to go in above or below the ring, sneaky little boys tisk tisk.   But if used properly, I personally think they are safer as does my OBGYN.  They cover more of the outer area of the vagina which in returns lessens the skin to skin contact.

3) I personally like the brand that is simply called Female Condom.  But I think they are all the same lol.

Like another person said, you do need to use a fair amount of water based lube with them, other wise they can be noisy and a bit ummmmm loud.  If you hear the noise, pull out, lube up and continue.

In my personal experience, a male condom has better sensitivity.  A female condom is like sticking your member into a Glad bag and jerking off.

Of course, you could get a blow up doll and get the same experience....

Maybe that's why they call them *Glad* bags..lol...

I don't use FC's often, but I always keep a few on hand for those gentlemen who just can't enjoy FS with a regular condom.

The feedback I have gotten from several men is that it feels as close to BB as you can get. They've raved about female condoms actually. If FC's weren't so expensive (about $3.00 per condom), I would use them exclusively.

They do have their drawbacks though, and I wonder if perhaps this is why you didn't enjoy your experience with it. I have found that some positions, CG in particular do not work with with female condoms. Missionary is good, but K9 and female condoms go together like peas and carrots. Also, lots of lube needs to be used INSIDE the condom, or the condom tends to want to move around alot, and that isn't very enjoyable for the woman. I suspect that your feeling of using a glad bag is probably also caused by not using enough lube.

The only other problem I have experiencd with female condoms is that they can be alot messier. Care needs to be used when the man withdraws, otherwise you wind up with a mess. It is best to pull the condom out at the same time the man withdraws.

Just make sure you don't pull out so much during intercourse because it will create air pockets thus causing the condom to eventually break. That's why any condom will break, esp on MC's, whomever is putting it on isn't pinching the tip before rolling it down. THEN you have a problem.
