I think there are not many diamond members so they are trying things to get us to sign up.  I'd say fuck it and make them either get rid of the idea or make it so regular membership is pointless.

The push for diamond level is not new. And IMHO, it's never been worth the money.  

 
The benefits they tout are at best, marginally helpful. And providing "early access" to new profiles seems counter-intuitive to their new marketing message of "find the right women" rather than "find any women who ain't been run through yet."  

 
From practical experience, I know that new profiles get slammed by dozens if not hundreds of messages within the first 3 days. They may be overwhelmed and may take several days to go through them to find one worth a reply.  I think most of us can attest that we are rarely the first POT SD to speak to a new POT SB.  I have no confidence that getting "early access" will make for better matches, though it may make for more BnB (Bang 'n' Bail) hookups at a premium allowance.  

 
However, I have to assume that there is some data-driven decision making here. Perhaps Seeking can demonstrate that Diamond members get a higher connection rate than standard members.  Can they also demonstrate that Diamond members get a higher M&G rate? How about a higher 2nd date rate?  All of us have expressed our pain that M&G's usually go nowhere as the norm rather than the exception.  

 
Finally, it's good to remember that all dating sites rely on members NOT finding perfect, long-term partners. Their business model is ongoing revenue through recurring monthly (or quarterly, for Seeking's regular members) payments. Having members achieve (their stated version of) success means losing both members.  

 
So whatever they push as a benefit for Diamond status, the real benefit (for them) is to increase per member revenue by almost 300%!

As Diamond members, we get to pay a lot more per month to be the first to contact all the scammers, rinsers, flakes and phonies and be first in line to be:

 
1] Not replied to  
2] Start texting and be ghosted  
3] Set up an M&G and get flaked on or be subjected to outrageous PPM requests
4] Get to the BCD and get cashed and dashed or at best a laundry list of no's

 
Now that's what I call an upgrade! Sign me up, lol.  

 
Seriously, though, it does sound appealing to be able to get a jump on the neanderthals, but is a three day jump really all that much? And as Herb has pointed out, those who have previously tried Diamond have found rust.  

 
Still... Euro-Guy... if you want to give it a shot you can can be the one to take one for the team and report back to us tightwad lemmings! If it's a success we'll all rush in unison toward pussy sea! It will answer once and for all if Diamond is worth it.
