When I do my usual searches on SA I look for:
My hometown plus 100 miles
Options; must have photos
Body type; slim, athletic,average
Age; 18-35

I've noticed the number of search results has been shrinking steadily in recent weeks. I used to get 1100 hits, then it dropped to about 1050, today it's only 984.  And yet, I continue to see several new profiles almost every day.  I wonder what's up.  Are more SBs deleting their profiles than are joining?  Or does SA delete old profiles after a period of non use? It must be the former cuz one of my previous SBs from 5 years ago recently returned.   Her profile still says joined in 2017 and she didn't use it for years until recently renewing the pics/text/photos. So maybe they don't delete old profiles. Your thoughts?  (and yes, I did reconnect with her!)

My "research" SB profile has been online since Jan, 2018.  I only access it occasionally, perhaps once a month and it's an unpaid account.  

 
I do wonder if SA has been improving it's auto-logic for detecting and purging bogus profiles.    I too see a slight decline in total hits while still seeing frequent new profiles appear.  

 
And I have not noticed (a purely empirical observation) any new "bad press" articles published by mainstream media outlets...
