Some good experiences so far on SA ( see below) but a scare when I got banned for 24 hours for a glitch (probably bot-driven) regarding my profile.
I updated my profile with something I though was witty: 'Seeking a *research assistant* for an important *chemistry experiment*' That was the exact wording. I felt like any idiot would not interpret this literally, but I was sanctioned for using the platform for 'commercial acivivity' or promotion of a business. My guess they have some kind of bot that looks for this type of thing.. I sent in a request to customer service and just got a form response back (after being restored) which stated that there is no manual override for these suspensions. Turned out OK but will be extra careful now. The good news is I have a couple of SBs in the books, one BCD and one ready to roll. And quite a few good prospects despite some scams and misdirections.
I decided to make a few minor updates to my profile and had it rejected. The one that really made me laugh was that I had selected the Friend with Benefits tag and also had in my "what I am seeking" description something about FWB too. Apparently, the two are not allowed together. I could have one but not the other. huh? The really funny part is that I did not edit these items when I did edits. I was cleaning up another sentence in another section. Go figure. The bot reviewer must of gotten a byte flipped.
My "member since" date on SA is 5+ years. I last updated the wording on my profile about 10 months ago and it was approved quickly. But it appears that some fields on ones profile that were not previously "required" now are, and unless I complete those fields, I cannot edit my profile in any way. For me those fields are net worth and annual income. Good thing I'm mostly happy with my profile as it stands right now.
Do you like or dislike the new SA site format, i.e. the way in which search profiles are displayed? The old way had more info visible without having to open the profile, like height, body type, whether she's online or how long it's been since she was, plus the hide button. One must now open the profile to see this info or use the hide button. I'm not so keen on these changes, for all the good that'll do me.
The old display format is still there. Look to the left of the "25 per page" box and see the two icons. One opens the new display, one opens the old display. They do seem to have the new display format set as the default so when it shows up I just switch to the old one.
