I bet I was asked for $$ 10 times this week for a M&G. Not chump change either.

I have had the experience of a nineteen-year-old virgin on SA several years ago, I hope that she still considers me a friend. It was a nice if brief (several months - visiting college student) affair that couldn't continue because of geography, but we stay in touch. You will have to look long and hard to find the likes of her on S these days.
Sugar dating is still dating. You are not shopping for a service provider in the Sugar Bowl, you are trying to meet a woman to date in a transparent and structured format of mutual benefits.
There have always been GPS wannabees on SA. Just like there have always been GPS wannabees at any bar or lounge you visit. If every hot chick you meet at a lounge would fuck you NSA for free, you probably wouldn't even consider sugaring or mongering. The SB profiles are not escort ads. They are dating profiles.
Yes, yes, and yes; some SB's are hookers. And some of those hookers try to use SA for hooker ads. They generally don't last long. Either they get discouraged when SD's don't want to pay per-hour hooker rates, or SA just bans them outright for being hookers. But that's not the OP's issue.
As sugaring continues to be more visible in news media and social media, there is an increase in "influences" (oh how I HATE that term!) who try to control the narrative. We've seen this before; we'll see it again. Eventually, SD's learn to "swipe left" on SB's who don't get it, and SB's learn to "swipe right" on more reasonable opportunities.
It's easy to get discouraged when the vetting process yields fewer good results. And worse, it's far too easy to just assume that all new SB's are infected by recent influencer BS. But the overwhelming statistics have not changed. In any given state in the US, there are somewhere between 1,000 to 2,000 (much more in larger states) women turning 18 years old EVERY DAY. If just 5% of those women join the Sugar Bowl, there is still a virtually endless supply of opportunity.
So after those 10 requests to pay for a M&G the OP reported, there are orders of magnitude more POT SB's to consider. If you really want to improve your conversion or success rate, work on your process and game. Do you have a profile that attracts the type of SB's you want? Are you directing the conversation on and off the site to the destination you want? Are you looking for the early red or yellow flags then bailing early on the low percentage opportunities? If you are looking for hitting a bullseye 9 out of 10 times, play darts. Sugar sucess rates are much more like batting averages, where hitting .300 makes you a major league player. So my advice is to increase your "at bats" to increase your on-base results.
If this sounds like a Sales Training pitch - well it is. In fact, I highly recommend you spend some time on YouTube looking at sales training vids on lead generation, qualifying sales candidates, negotiations, and closing deals. These skills are DIRECTLY applicable to the sugar bowl.
Ultimately, if you'd rather just book an hour or two with a reliable provider, go for it. Even with the rotation of 3-5 SB's and 4-8 backups SB's I have, I still book a pro 3-4 times a year. And I still go to my favorite strip clubs a few times a year for some ITC (In The Club) fun or even take out service. Sometimes you just want a hot 20-ish babe you just met to give you a quick BBBJ in the VIP room for couple of Benjamins. That's why I always say...

I got back on it in March after 3 years of hiatus due to COVID. So far, I have not had one single successful BCD. I ran into so many scammers that I lost count. They all wanted money upfront or wanted to sell you videos. I did buy a few sexy videos just to show them I am for real, but then they wanted "gas" money before they meet. I quickly passed.
I did go out with one POT SB a couple of times just for lunch and drinks. After that, she wanted 600 for CBJs and no kissing so I quickly passed. Two delusional MILFs wanted 1K, and I passed. I then talked to two more, they wanted 450, again CBJ, and no kissing, It's another no-go for me.
I noticed most of the POT SBs will not kiss and only give CBJs. I don't know if it's because they are afraid of COVID which is so silly. Once you are that close to another person, you can contract COVID even if you two just talk.
... and its easy to get discouraged. But just keep looking. Maybe look back at the profiles from all those recent POT's and you may find a commonalty across them that becomes a red flag filter for you on the next batch.
SB's have the "power of YES." This is important to remember.
But SD's have the equal "power of NO."
This is a low-hanging-fruit game. If she puts herself out of reach on a higher branch, she'll eventually wither without being picked. Meanwhile you will be going BCD for BBBJ's with the hottie(s) that understands that "mutual" means equitable, not one-sided.

You are right. So many of them want to sell videos. I did buy a few from some SB's that I really wanted to meet just to prove to them I was dealing in good faith. One had two girls playing with each other was actually pretty sexy. Unfortunately, I have not had gone BCD with anyone yet which is frustrating. I suspect most of them just want to sell videos online and will never want to meet in person.
My first regular SB moved back into the area not too long ago so I will try to hook up with her. We still keep in touch. I met her in 2015 when Seeking was full of real SB's, unlike now when there are just so many scammers. She actually turned pro for a few years and got great TER reviews, but she burned out very fast and is UTR now.
The bowl is dead, even as a few trickle in and out.
My favorite agencies provide non stop fun, and frequent duos (you just gotta ask). No reason to stray.
