I'm not sure if these are scammers, UTR pro's who travel on a circuit, or just POT's who are looking for BNB (Bang N Bail) hookups.  (TL/DR: skip to 4th paragraph)

 

First the (sort of) good news:  In the last 8 weeks since I reenabled my profile, I have been getting an average of 5 first-time messages a week from POT's.  For me, this is much higher than trends I've seen over the last 2-ish (post-COVID) years, where I might get 1 or 2 1st time messages a month. However, the mix of viable POT's sending me these remains poor: The ubiquitous South American POT's, online only POT's, older/fatter women POT's, and some viable, local, babes as well (maybe 20%).   In addition, I have bent my rule about never sending the 1srt message with about a dozen POT's that scored at least 90% of my criteria for an ideal SB.  I'll also note that the number of older "viable" POT's - for me that means between 28 and 38 - who contact me is somewhat higher as well. It's high enough that I am now considering moving forward with a some of these.  

 
From all of that activity, I have set up 2 M&G's that were both no-shows, and I have around 10 that went to texting offsite but after a few messages I was ghosted before we even got to discuss a M&G, allowance or possible schedules.  

 
The takeaway for me is: The Los Angeles market is still live, but the Signal to Noise ratio remains low.    

 
Second: In the mix of this new activity, I am starting to see two type of profiles that are noteworthy:  The 1st is not new. It's the POT's who list 2 locations like LA and Vegas, or LA and Houston. Sometimes these are explained in the profile text (ex: goes to school at UCLA, parents in Houston and flies back and forth, or works in Santa Monica, lives in Pasadena). These are always a yellow flag, as they could be pro's who bounce back and forth for bookings, or they are just listing two locations to try to attract more POT SD's (i.e.: professional daters).  I have never had a successful arrangement with a "2 city" POT.  

 
Now here's the new trend: New POT's who show up in one area, say Malibu, CA, then after a day or two, show up in Modesto, CA, which is about 300+ miles north of Malibu in northern/central CA.  

 
So I get a favorite from a 22 year old spinner in Malibu. She's white, cute, brunette, great pics, no overt red or yellow flags in her profile and I favorite/message her.   A day goes by and I look her up and BAM! She is now in Modesto.  I now see this from 4 or 5 profiles a week.  Not sure what's going on...   Not sure how to spot these early so I can avoid wasting time.

I've def encountered many profiles that list one location, then change it to another.  I haven't kept track on numbers, but yeah, it's a thing!  The signal to noise ratio here in Pussy Siberia is so low it's nearly undetectable.  And all of my regulars are gone!  So I'm expanding my geographical search area out of necessity.  I'm considering trying  a long distance arrangement.  Not ideal, but if I can't get something going locally, it looks like a choice between traveling and celibacy!  

I just noticed a chick who texted me from Minneapolis two days ago is today in Chicago.  So it happens.  It doesn't happen frequently, but occasionally.  I don't know what it means.

I generally ignore them as they are usually pro types of headache to schedule w and the texting never ends plus somehow all of those dual location types have had crazy expectations like 700-900 type. Even though you can usually negotiate them down they are always on the lookout and never turn into steady type arrangements  

As I posted in my other rant re SoCal, had some better luck lately w inland empire - where young ppl are getting pushed out to because of inflation etc and surprisingly decent selection - but it’s a real pain to drive out to or book hotels

I’m seeing this kind of thing too. They post there in my city. Start a conversation and are very direct in what they want and will do for it. Next thing is ask for any for of text other than text. (WhatsApp, Snapchat, telegram, etc). When I say no to those, I get blocked and they’re in a different city and different state.  Another is the old ask for $ for videos and I say no and the same results.  
I can watch the profile travel across the country though.  Scammers.  
If they do text I have an app which can detect real phone numbers to people (not google or burner numbers). A few of the scammers are not smart enough to use a burner number. I track them down to decipher if they’re real, others I play along until I can’t because it goes to nothing but waisted time.  
Bottom line for me is if they want to do video or any of the no traditional text apps, I stay away.

That's the stuff for a different post.  It's harder and more expensive than getting a civilian SB, but not too much. And just like connecting with all POT's on Seeking, there are no guarantees and there is a similar amount of false starts, wasted cycles, and unrealistic expectations.  But it can be done. I think I have successfully had multiple BCD's with a total of 5 porn starts, all for real, multiple-hour or even multiple-day extended sugar dates and for maybe half or less than what a typical Porn Star escort charges for a single hour.  Two of them are still in my rotation, though scheduling is irregular due to their work/travel schedules.

If you don't mind.  I've had a few but nothing that lasted.  There are a few girls I'd love to have an ongoing gig with.  Not sure if it was my approach or them that ended it before.

I started meeting through an agency, we had fun.  Got their number, saw them a few extra times.  Nothing much past that.

I got scammed recently by someone who initiated contact on SA.  Her listed city was very distant from mine, but I replied and she said she'd be in my town for her sister's wedding.  OK so far.  Her online photos looked good, but blurry.  Via text she sent me some photos that I recognized instantly as being a well known porn star.  I asked her if she was So and So and she said yes, she was surprised to be recognized, but seemed pleased.  She sent me a menu of prices which seemed reasonable and agreed to meet me the next morning at her upscale hotel here in town.  Then she asked me to send her $ in advance.  I know, I now, never shoulda done it.  But I did and you can guess the rest.  Not only did she not show up, she claimed the cashapp payment failed and demanded more, and got very hostile about it too. I see now that it would be relatively easy for a scammer to find pics of a well known porn star and use them in this way.  Well there you go, even us experienced SDs take a loss every now and then.

Yeah, "I didn't get the transfer".  I put up a scam review here for a escort that pulled that on me.

I had the same thing happen, except she claimed she was in my area for a photo shoot.  She even offered to come to my place for a bcd meeting.  When she asked for significant money up front, I bailed.  I have to admit I thought about it for awhile before declining.  

Shortly after our initial contact onsite, her profile was gone.  So there was nothing to report on.

I guess I can throw out some basic guidelines for Sugaring with POT Porn Stars:

 
1. Porn Stars do travel for work and escorting, but they generally do not post Seeking profiles when doing so. They tend to post SA profiles in their local area in the hopes of establishing a long-term arrangement.  

 
2. If she is a UTR or even not UTR Porn Star escort, she will almost always post her travel schedule for one or more reasons like scheduled appearances at industry events (ex: EXXXOTICA), or on her agency / escort website, and sometimes it's on her Twitter (Now X) or IG.  So try to verify if she's really coming to your location.  

 
3. My strategy is to always try to establish some off-site communication with her first, or at least in parallel to your SA messages. Use DMs in social media only to establish contact, not to negotiate any terms or meeting details unless she initiates. Once you have done that, if possible, meet her at the industry event; just say "Hi I'm Papa Sweet, really enjoyed chatting with you on ____" If she acknowledges, all good.  EX: I met 3 of my PS SB's at AVN in Las Vegas. I had already connected with each of them before the show.  

 
4. Sugar Rule #1 still applies: Never send money in advance. The only possible exception might be if she has an established escort agency that requires a deposit. But then you are probably going to pay standard escort rates.  

 
4a. Booking her 1st as an escort may be a viable path. If during/after the session you think she's chill and she appears to think you are chill, you can mention that you do sugar dating and see how she reacts. Then take your lead from there and see how it goes.  This is a low-percentage play, but all attempts to sugar date a PS are low-percentage plays.  

 
5. To complete Point #1 above, Porn Stars do post profiles on Seeking either to attract new escort bookings or as a legit attempt to find a local SD. But they generally call out that they are an adult star, and/or post pics from an industry event (like the Red Carpet walk at AVN) along with other candid pics.  

 
The point is to make sure you listen to your Spidey Senses. It's so easy to ignore your better instincts, even if you are an experienced SD.  

TLDR: What I'm laying out with the notes above is a simple strategy:

 
If you want to date porn stars, put yourself where the Porn Stars hang out. Then engage like you would any civilian woman, chat her up, have a good/wry/witty sense of humor and talk about anything OTHER than porn and her work. Porn Stars see porn-fan-boys all the time.  It's the porn equivalent of the "friend-zone."  Be that interesting guy who is not obsessed with porn, but admires the woman as an admirable woman.
