would be to take a half hour or so, and scroll through back pages, reading the subject lines.  Most of the regulars here don't use the Re.....whatever, we usually come up with our own titles.

If something happens to strike your fancy, go ahead and read the message part. You'll find LG (The Love Goddess) to be brilliant, experienced, and witty, always a good read, and several of the others are pretty sharp as well.

Rarely, if ever will you find anything that even resembles a flame, we're here to share deep emotional stuff, we all know what it feels like to be slammed, so no one does it.

All in all, it's a pretty safe place to share joys as well as pain, and you'll pick up some really helpful advice along the way.

Welcome to our little corner of TER!

Be Lost & Confused no more, sxXxy_Mila,

At the end of this posting is an excerpt from a recent thread. I believe it answers your question in some detail. To that, I would like to add that providers are MOST DEFINITELY WELCOME TO ASK QUESTIONS...and several have done so.

Any emotionally significant question you'd like to ask your therapist but can't, for whatever reason...come forward, please! If you don't want to use your provider name, just choose an alias. The key is that we share everything on the board, so PM's are not answered by me at all. This is mainly out of fairness - everyone deserves equal time - and also because I would like other posters to get a chance at providing their advice as well. Of course I'm biased, but I believe that we have the most intelligent, erudite and wonderful TER members on this board, bar none. Take a look and you'll see some of the incredible threads we have amassed in a little over one year. The key to it all is that we ask questions with emotional components, as you would in a therapist's office. This is not an "express my opinion" board, or a "promote my provider activities" board. There are plenty of other boards and opportunities within TER to engage in such postings. So come along on our psychosexual, cerebral journey. I believe that every thread has something for everyone to learn and to ponder!

Group hug for Mila (and see excerpt below),

"There is a consistent pattern - particularly on this board - among some hobbyists to include the "emotional and intellectual" aspects of hobbying, which is something that may not necessarily come to prominence on the other boards and websites. In addition, this board is primarily a COUNSELING AND ADVICE-GIVING board, not a board for promoting individual providers, specific encounters, or various general viewpoints. Hence, a certain type of hobbyist is drawn to post on this forum: I would venture to say that the hobbyists on our board ENJOY being cerebral, emotional and empathic in their approach, not only to sex but also to life.

It is my joy to observe that we have a very sophisticated and MATURE bunch on our board. "Flames" are completely absent; various opinions and schools of thought are tolerated, considered and dissected with great care and with much insight; civility is observed 100% and no one is made to feel insignificant or discounted. At the same time, I have found that "our" core group is one that seems to be comprised of mainly college-educated Baby Boomers, where humor and culturally temporal references blend with insight and more reflective persuasions. So, if it seems that it's extremely common for hobbyists to open themselves up to the potential of vulnerability and romantic emotion - chalk it up to the self-selected, stellar crowd populating our wonderful board!"
