I'm following a sugar subreddit forum and it seems that SA is turning itself into a dating site due to FOSTA. That would explain the change of domain name from seekingarrangement.com to seeking.com.

Interesting how this is going to work out for us.

I opened a SA profile about 3 weeks ago and was about to pay for a 3 month membership when my account was suspended.  I never sent a message, never posted anything remotely controversial so I do not have a clue.  If you are suspended, you have no recourse other than to wait.
So what is the next best site to try for SB/SD arrangement?

SA recently launched other changes. Here's the big stuff I remember seeing:

1. Removed lifestyle checkboxes and pushing the use of TAGS. SD's and SB's can no longer indicate any lifestyle (I.e.: Budget) expectation. Instead all users are prompted to select one or more "tags" for what they are looking for, and select other tags for what they are not looking for (i.e.: profiles with these tags will not be included in search results).

2. The keyword or text string search field remains lost - apparently forever. However you can still manipulate the query statement in the browser URL if you know some rudimentary query code skills.

3. It appears that you can now infer the status of a blocked vs. deleted/suspended profile. I'm just speculating here, as I've seen nothing from SA or in the SA blogs to confirm. But it looks like this:
- If a SB blocks you, you can see her messages and profile name in your message view
- If an SB profile has been deleted (or suspended?) you can see still see her messages but the profile name has defaulted to a generic label of "Sugar Baby."

Thoughts:  
I have made it a practice to note offline (i.e.: In a NOTE.txt file) certain info on any profile of SB's I've had messages from/to.  That includes dloading her pics and capturing key data that can be used to search later for a new/dupe/etc. profile. Things like age, height, body type, hair, smoking/drinking/children status, etc., as well as occupation and select keywords or even the entire text from her profile.  These come in especially handy now.

It's pretty clear to me that they are trying to maintain a double-standard where casual public scrutiny (i.e.: LE or media review) will suggest they are just another dating site and where the actual users need to "read between the lines" to know that once they get into off-site communication mode and some level of trust is obtained between POT's, a more "structured" dialog can take place with specifics about expectations and benefits.

I don't see this as a major problem for an experienced SD. But it does make it a bit harder to pre-filter out the GPS SB's,  Yes, you can filter for excluding "Luxury Lifestyle" tags.  But it's fuzzier than when you can just leave out the "substantial" POT's who are high on the smell of their own Prada shoes (which I certainly am NOT paying for).

Herb, astute observations as per your usual.
1. The lifestyle expectations must have seemed to be too much like PFP.  Had to go, but I agree, it's gonna cost us in wasted time weeding out the GPSs.

2. I inquired about the keyword search and was told it's being revised and will return better than ever.  That was a month ago, so..... I can't see any potential harm in it for SA.  And it was very useful.  So maybe they will put it back. I have not tried manipulating the query statement but might give it a try.

3. I wondered why some message strings said "Sugar Baby" and others still had the profile name.  I think you figured it out!

I came back to this because I couldn’t remember what Herb said about blocked versus deleted/suspended. I’m not quite sure this is right, but it could be.

I’ve had a few tell me they suspended their account while seeing me that show up with their names and messages. While a couple I know for certain blocked me, just showed up as sugar baby.

Or maybe SA is fucking with us! Lol

Make another non-paid account. Then you can search for that SB and see if she shows up for you or not
