Was on both of those sites well over a decade ago.  And I still get promos from both sites regularly, and from their numerous affiliated partners.  Neither site is worth the time, the effort, the frustration, or the expense.  Whether there has been a change in the nature of whom uses those type of dating sites over time is something I could care less about.  I just renewed my SA premium yesterday, not because of the rate increase coming (I predict $10/mo, which is a drop in the bucket in the overall), but because I was ready for a deep dive again.  Within 8 hrs of paying up, I've got a live one coming over later today (planned M&G morphed into a multi hour tease by text, to gift agreed on, to let's advance to GO), a M&G scheduled for early next week, and another POT who wishes to meet, but it's not ironed out yet.  Also have an offer for a right now car date (obvious pro or semi-pro), and one cautious much younger gal who wants to snapchat before a M&G (social media Luddite here, so no, balls in her court).  All this without favoriting anyone, or sending a first message to anyone.  I think there is an influx of new interest, or maybe renewed interest as a new year approaches, and some of that I think goes to the Valentine's Day is coming mentality, plus the whole New Year's resolution bull crap.    

I can’t answer to if January is a good dating month, but I noticed today that there are several new profiles of cute girls in my area. Don’t know if they are real. My area is having so many people moving here from other States due to jobs. Some of these new profiles claim to be moving here.  

In regards to Match, I hated Match years ago and will never join again.  

I’m receiving the same pop-up box requesting I lock-in the old price. I wonder how much it’s increasing? I was going to take a break at least a month.
