I have been hobbying off-and-on for quite some years, the off/on being dictated, at times, by where I lived at the time (I wasn't exclusively a skiing pro). But I have never "done it" with a functionally female "tranny girl" or "shemale". (I hope I am not confusing two different existences).
Now I wonder what that might be like. Living behind the "Zion Curtain", there are no resident providers of the particular specialty (and few good regular ones) although there are some rare hit-and-run visitors. Hence, besides all the emotional stuff there are logistics to consider.
In addition to the gents' comments, I am also interested in input (pun intended) of T-providers.

The best way to find out is to JUST DO IT! Remember that what's one man's meat is another man's poison. Hence, I think if you asked that question on the General Discussion board, you'd get a variety of answers and reactions. Of course, there is a Transsexual Board on TER, so you might wish to pose that question over there.

Hi, sorry I'm late... (giggle)  We were shooting a new video today, then had a wonderful dinner on the bay in San Diego and ended in our jacuzzi.

First of all, while we may use such terms in advertising, trannies for the most part don't like to be called "trannies" or shemale, ladyboy, gender bender, it, etc. We like being referred to as TS, transsexual, transgendered, t-girls, girls, or simply "her."

Next I would suggest reading the TS forum on TER, as well as some of the other forums for TS's.  If you go to our web site, then to the links page in our yahoo news group there are links to several good sites.

So far as what dating a TS can be like.  It can range from being indistinguishable from dating a "GG"  (genetic girl) to "doing it" with a man in a dress. Some are knock out bombshells, others barely pass.  Most will be somewhere in between.

Some TS girls are on hormones, some are not. Generally a transsexual is considered to be a person who internally feels they are of the other gender, and on a transitional path toward to other gender regardless of their outward appearance. (hence "trans") While a transvestite is usually considered somone comfortable with a male body, but a preference for feminine appearance, even to flamboyance.  A "crossdresser" is generally considered one who dresses in the clothing of the opposite sex for erotic purposes or sexual gratification.

But I say "generally" because there is always a blurring of the lines.  For many of us gender and sexuality is fluid.  Myself, I am a girl with a boys body.  A boygirl. Sexually I'm a straight, bi-sexual, gay lesbian.  (I like boys as a girl, girls as both a boy and a girl and I'm in a same sex relationship with another TS.) giggle...

Some TS's are "tops" some are "bottoms" some are "versitile."  Always be sure to ask your provider her preferences before your date.  One place where misunderstandings occur in the TS hobby is in who does what to whom.  Be sure you are both on the same page ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

Providers also run the range from good to ghetto.   Just as with GG providers, read the reviews, look for a girl with a track record and you won't usually go far wrong.

Most TS providers live and work in larger cities.  In part because some rural areas are less accepting of alternative choices in life, but mostly because that's where the boys (and support services) are.

So if you live in an area lacking in TS companions you may need to save it for when you are visiting a larger town.

And if you are ever in San Diego please give me a call, we'd love to  introduce you to "the other side!"

Could you explain to me what this means in simple terms, I'm a dummy with regards to all this trannie stuff:

Utah??!!!  Damn I'm jealous.  Plenty of TSs in the DC area, but the skiing sucks.  

It may be that my priorities are a sign of the aging process.

Don't feel bad sweetie, I'm confused too.  My point was gender and sexuality are fluid and may change over one's lifetime. And that's OK.

PS - you apparently didn't read my original post - "trannies" don't like to be called that... it's kind of like the N word.  We might use it between ourselves but it's demeaning for a non-trans person to use it.

My point was that I'm a transsexual, not a genetic girl. But I'm not a man either.  So I call myself a "boygirl."  A little of both, a little of neither, the "third gender" if you will.

I will never be a genetic girl and I'm totally cool with that.  I don't WANT to be a genetic girl. (Well had I been born that way I wouldn't have complained...but I am what I am.) But I don't want to be a man either.  So I'm sort of both, and neither.

I think though, that because I accept who I am and don't try to pretend to be something or someone I'm not, that people don't feel decieved and therfore are accepting of me as a person.

I'm talking about mainstream society here, not the sex world, where transsexuals are often seen simply as an "experience" to be tried. I'm cool with that too!  I LOVE what I do, and I find helping people to explore sexuality very fulfilling personally.

Sexually I was confused for many years. Lately I figured out that it really doesn't matter. I grew up thinking I was some kind of gay boy, but I didn't "feel" gay. I liked guys as a girl.  And I liked girls, but I had no real desire to have sex with girls until I was older when I sort of went back and forth between sexes.

I never topped a guy until I was like 25 then not again until like 3 years ago.  Other TS's really like being on top.  Some like girls as a man. I recall a conversation with other provider outside a diner.  This cute girl walked by. I was thinking, "Boy I wish my ass looked as good as hers."  My friend (who isn't on hormones and a well known provider)says to me.  "God I'd like to F*** her!"

My point being even among transsexuals there is a wide variety of interests and tastes.  And I think hormones has a lot of effect mentally too.

And now I'm in a relationship with another TS.  Some might see us as gay because we are pre-op. But we don't feel gay.  We relate to each other as women, so we sort of consider ourselves lesbians who like men.

Anyway, hopefully now we are all completely confused.

Does it matter what the label is?

Like previous suggestion, leave your hangups at the curb and JUST DO IT!  Just be open (lol) to whatever may happen and hold off evaluating or judging what feelings or emotions flow over you till the next day.
