I've had this problem...

Though I have only one, and about 99.9% of the time, it shrinks to the the point of being undetectable.  But every so often (every five or more years), it flares up, and my Dr. has taken the same approach each time...RX for antibiotics, and see if it swells down on its own.  For me, it has every time, and my Dr. said this was a preferable approach rather than surgery.  As for seeing providers with this condition, I have, and they accepted my explanation.  But, if these things are a long-term cosmetic problem for you, I would opt for surgery...or at least look into it.

I have two noticeable cysts on my scrotum.  Hard round nodules that doctors tell me are 'subaceous cysts'.  The doctors describe them as not uncommon and harmless - not to have them removed unless they become a problem.  How  will a provider perceive this condition?  Should I have them removed?  Never seen a provider.  I'd like to.  Any advice?

I also have several small cysts that sound identical.  No provider has ever noticed them much less been bothered.

My guess is that most experienced providers are quite good at telling what they should and should not worry about.

Dear lvtraveler,

Your cysts are "sebaceous," not "subaceous." This means that they are filled with sebum, or "human tallow."

Your question re a provider can only be answered with "it depends on the provider." But if two sebaceous cysts are stopping you from engaging in paid sex, I'd say you have more important things to worry about. Most mature and intelligent providers are highly trained professionals who have seen human glory in all its various defects and permutations. So when you go to select a provider, read the reviews and get with someone who has a modicum of sophistication and who can understand the difference between a sebaceous cyst and leprosy [to put it bluntly]. Aside from that, you're on your own.

Should you have them removed - only if they become a problem in providerland.

I'm with the doc on this one,
