I am trying to get my batting average at least to the Mendoza line in terms of responses back to an initial message.
I usually start with an exchange of pleasantries like Hi, How are you and wait for a response back or indicate interest in their profile and extend offer for lunch, dinner etc. That creates a problem where I am binding myself before doing a full screen for real pics, current pics, face and full body etc. How do you start your initial engagement with a POT and indicate your interest in potential long term ppm, gauge her willingness to travel to you and get a better response rate.Remember this is dating, so you need to share something about yourself and comment (or inquire) about her. My experience is you want 4-5 messages before you agree to meet-greet.
Simple questions, like what do you do for fun, what kind of restaurants to do you like. Ideally you can get a sense of why she's there without getting too pushy. Is she a student with a lot of debt, single mom, underpaid office worker?
She is looking for a sugary bf so whe will want the same info about you. Are you active in sports, own your business, etc? I fyou're married you should disclose at some point. You need to give a picture of what dates will look like. Just BCD, or dinner, outings, travel? Not clear about what you mean about 'travel to you.' If she's not in the same city you probably need a lot more vetting and maybe a video chat.
And of course you'll need to have a conversation about allowances before you meet.
Don't worry about your batting average. This can easily be one out of 20 or 50 or more, given the number of fakes and scams and GPS gals.
My first message usually says what I like about her, eyes, smile, etc. Then what I'm looking for and how often I can meet. So, I'd be looking for a few times a month at first. Talking and texting between dates. Great chemistry. Open to it expanding to more.
One thing all the women seem to hate, and with good reason, is if they suspect you are sending them a DM you have cut and pasted and sent to millions of others. So always make sure you say something that can only appl;y to them, like a comment on some detail in their photos, or a response to something they wrote in their profile.
