A girl told me not to ever use someone elses dildo unless it was still in the package. She said even if you clean it with soap and water and toy spray it'll still carry diseases? is that true?

Dear Lux-May,

The girl who told you this was right. If you want to be 100% safe from sexually transmitted diseases, NEVER use someone else's sex toys without putting a latex barrier (condom mainly) between you and the toy. The best way to be safe with sex toys is to use condoms and change the condom each time the toy changes partners or moves from one area of the body to another. And don't forget to clean the toy(s) after each use. Plus who wants to use someone else's sex toys anyway - unless you have a particular fetish for used toys that carry someone else's microbial residue? You can check out the attached link for cleaning tips.

It's that simple,

So if a provider wants to use a sex toy on me I should refuse unless its covered?  I know it makes perfect sense but in the heat of the moment men beware.

That depends on your risk tolerance, hobson201,

If a provider wants to give you a BBBJ, do you let her? If a provider wants you to DATY without a dental dam, do you let her? These decisions all depend on personal risk tolerance. You now have the facts - condoms provide some protection against STDs when applied to sex toys.

I think you know where this is going,

Of course I do.  This is just the first one I have seen about sex toys. Its like everything else.  Just a good warning.  Thanks LG.

either that, or you've never played with your own orifices during hot and heavy sex play. Do you seriously think that two or more individuals going at it with various dildoes and vibrators are going to get up from wherever they're standing or reclining and start "serious cleaning?" Surely you jest.

Any bona fide public health organization - even Planned Parenthood - recommends using latex condoms on sex toys that are being shared in the moment.

I hope you don't follow your own advice :-(

Speaking of that, take a paper towel and some spray cleaner and wipe down your steering wheel. You will be shocked at the amount of stuff that comes off....yikes! Sorry for going off topic! lol

ewww that''s like wearing someone elses panties. Yuck I don't care how clean you say they are. Panties like sex toys are a solo thing. one pair of panties for each pussy, no sharing. Same with sex toys. thats' just gross.

even if you have your own personal toy use a condom. You can give yourself a yeast infection, or uti, or bladder infection, or bacteria vaginosis (fishy pussy).
