What I found interesting about this story is that they did not condemn SA or the entire sugar dating scene. They got it right; they condemned the man's criminal behavior towards his SB. When I think about the amount of social progress that has occurred just in my own lifetime, things like gay rights, gay/lesbian relationships on national tv, black lives matter, women's rights, and same gender marriage I think I have reason to believe that in some not too distant future sugar dating will become accepted, if not mainstream, behavior. The bad guy in this story only succeeded in blackmailing his SB because it's still so taboo. The way gay relationships used to be. Imagine nowadays trying to blackmail someone about being gay. They'd laugh in your face! That's how it will be one day with sugar dating too. I think.
SB is just prostitution hidden behind a dating site to many people. I doubt that will ever change unless people become open-minded about prostitution. Europeans and even Canadians are definitely more open-minded than Americans about prostitution.
