HIV risk from other than intercourse?

Seems we're all pretty good about covered FS, but I have to wonder, is that really where the big risk of HIV or other infection is?

Reason I ask, is it seems no matter how careful I am, I can't think of too many times I don't have a fresh cut or scrape on me somewhere. Tiny abrasions on the finger, slightly bleeding gums from brushing before a meet, tiny shaving nicks (face and the boys), etc. I'm active in the outdoors and at work, and hands and arms are constantly getting scraped and cut. Combine that with contact with bodily fluids that naturally occur during sex, well, I have to wonder just how much of a risk this is? I fear this more than I ever would ubprotected sex considering the low rate of transmission from female to male with unprotected sex where there are obviously no cuts or abrasions on the areas a condom woukd cover. Justified, or just uninformed?

If I cancelled every time I nicked myself shaving or had a fresh scrape somewhere, well, I think I'd have a hard time finding understanding women when I'm cancelling half the time!

Dear dan2del,

We have gone over these issues on this board so many times, that at this point, I do refer people to "that darned website" as par for the course.

Please read it and assess your own personal risks,

I understand your concerns. Wish we could discuss this privately.
