In the last week, I've seen the term "hotwife" used in about 3 newer profiles., I had to take a detour through the Urban Dictionary to find out what that means, besides the obvious (i.e.: A hot married woman looking for a SD).
So in general, "hotwife" refers to married couple where both of them agree to, and want to, share the hotwife with other men. This can take any of several models:
1. Married couple with another (married or dating) couple - I think this is what us old guys used to call "swinging,"
2. A male, presumably a SD in this case, who joins the hotwife and hubby for activities. The hubby can be either bi and join in, or straight and presumably watch or bring another female along - this sounds close to the Polyamorous lifestyle to me.
3. A hotwife who meets SD's for activities with the permission of, but not the presence of, the husband - the more typical "married but looking" POT?
4. (Seen on one hotwife profile): A single female who wants a "hotwife" vibe. Not really sure what that means, as she didn't provide any other details - isn't that really what we call a SB with multiple SD's (i.e.: 70% of the SB's)?
I'm not married, was never married, and will never be married. And I've never dipped my toe into the world of fucking married women (except that one time on a cruise ship...). So this term is new to me. But it seems that the "hotwife" concept has entered the Sugar Bowl, just as other (are they?) niche groups like BDSM, FinDom, Trans, Poly, etc.
I'm not sure this is inherently bad or good - although generally, I think it's better to be inclusive of anyone who is interested, rather than trying to put up barriers to consenting adults who want to explore sugaring. However, I would prefer to have the option to filter in or out on these criteria. SA does provide Tag filters (include or exclude) on Trans members, although a Trans member can slip past these by not using the tags.
The search function for paid members allows us to search by the presence of a keyword (include profiles with "keyword"). So searching for "hotwife" works (found 8 in a 100 mile radius of me). And for hotwifes this may be redundant as I can also search for "married, but looking," but it's not quite the same as hotwife. However, there is no exclude keyword function (do not include profiles with "keyword"). Should there be an exclude keyword function?
So, what's your experience? Have you seen "hotwife" profiles? have you met any? Would you meet for one BCD? Would you enter a long term arrangement? Do you see the power dynamic of a SD and Hotwife SB as different than the more usual "older SD, younger & single SB arrangement? Does that matter?
