Feeling a slight pain in your tongue right after licking someone for 20 minutes is just being sore. Noticing an infection from a sexually transmitted disease would take a lot longer than 20 minutes.

What happened is that the very thin attachment from the base of the tongue to the floor of the mouth (called the sublingual frenum) became irritated when you were DATY because it was scraping along the top edge (incisal surface) of the lower teeth (mandibular incisors).

After that 20 minutes you will notice the irritation when you lift your tongue because the frenum is irritated and slightly abraded from the friction on your teeth.

That's the answer to your question but there is another point to note.  Because of the potential for abrasion on the underside of the tongue and the frenum, it is a potential entry point for microorganisms and therefore an increased risk of acquiring an infection.

Just a head's up.  (no pun intended).

I had a 2 hour appointment with my ATF last night and I found myself experiencing exactly what the OP describes at one point...and it has hapened before.

My ATF loves to receive and give oral. She is good for three to four orgasms during the course of an appointment (sadly, I'm only good for one). I love getting her off but I definitely find that different positions require different tongue/jaw variations.  Her favorite position in which to receive oral is on her knees, straddling my face as she leans on the headboard or the wall for support.  This position, though a lot of fun for both of us, is the hardest one for me to maintain without my jaw or tongue getting tired.  I don't do it first because her first orgasm takes the longest to achieve.  I won't do it last because by then I have been licking, sucking and nibbling for well over an hour and it's just too hard to keep up a pace that wil give her an O. If we do this position for her second O it seems to work perfectly. Sixty nine and me eating her out while she lays on her back are both less strain on me but the face straddling position really seems to produce the most earth shaking results.

Sometimes you learn things in unexpected places. The thing about your provider really getting off when she is standing against the wall clicks for me. Two times I have given head in a strip club booth with the lady standing on the seat straddling me. Both got very wet and one even squirted in my mouth (that was a once in a lifetime for sure). You sometimes see anatomy such that the frenum is attached further forward than is typical.  In fact, there are some individuals that cannot protrude their tongue very far at all because of this anatomical limitation.  There is a very simple procedure called the frenectomy that can be done for these patients.  In fact, in some young kids the sublingual frenum must be altered if it creates speech impediments.

As for DATY without irritation, I would first make sure that the incisal edges of the teeth are not damaged and rough.  If they are then a dentist can repair that problem easily.  I would also have the frenum attachment evaluated in terms of its attachment to the tongue.  If it is an impediment or a problem in other ways then a frenectomy may be called for.

I would never recommend a frenectomy simply to make DATY less irritating but if it creates other issues then a side benefit of a frenectomy to solve those issues is that the DATY may be less irritating.

Check the teeth first.  It may be what is causing an otherwise normal frenum to become irritated and abraded.

bballs advises you to see a doctor because he thinks it "sounds like you caught something".

It's never bad advise to seek professional help when dealing with health issues, obviously, but if you did acquire an infection from the DATY, rest assured that the symptoms that you reported in the original post here would not be from an infection, in my opinion.

They symptoms of an STD or other infection would not be evident in 20 minutes.
