Here is the proper response. $3,500 is a little over a hundred bucks a day, you should have mentioned that and then told her you didn't want to be as cheap as her previous SD and that you would be willing to pay several times that amount, perhaps as much as $200 for a four hour date which works out to over ten times her previous hourly rate.
I am sure this too would elicit a rather nasty response, but just consider how much more fun you would have saying it. lolo
Recently in contact with a POT sb, nice message and text exchange, had initial M&G over drinks that went well. The next day we scheduled our next meet for later in the week and seemed like everything was in motion. The day before our date, she texts me and asks if I can help her and her rent is due... gives me the "pretty please" treatment. Told her sure, we would take care of that tomorrow after our date. Says she needs it today and wants me to paypal it, to which I responded, let's meet up today and we can take care of things a day early. No response...so after 15 minutes, texted her and cancelled our date because I was going to spend my time with someone else. That might have been a bit harsh, but I was fed up with her entitled GPS nonsense

Next day she's she's very nasty to me..lol
I got a response from a pot SB this week that made me laugh. We had started texting last month when she ghosted on me. A month later, this week, she says " sorry for taking so long to get back to you, but what would you offer as compensation for a lunch date?"
I laughed and responded I'd be willing to buy her lunch and provide interesting conversation. I guess I'll have to wait another month to get the response. Lol
