Pummeled with email initially. Tons of emails from women thirsty for dollars, gifts or exotic travel, (sigh). Also, a few women pretending to be SB but are really UTR pros. I did have a few emails that piqued my interest. One that caught my eye, so I reached out.

Basically this is her story: mid-30s, pretty, not a hard body but attractive with beautiful boobs. My kind of woman. She says she is a full-time work from home lawyer. Makes a good living, doesn't need the money. Doing the sugar think is her "kink".

We text. She seems nice sends me a photo to confirm it's her. Pretty and sexy. Says she's in my area temporarily but will be moving about an hour or so away, eventually. So, we chat about her kink...her story remains the same. I ask her what does this fantasy entail. And if the dollar amount matters or is it just the transaction that get's her off. She says the dollar amount is part of the fantasy. So, I ask, what rate she has in mind? Starting...a grand.

So, I thank her and tell her that I'm not aligned with that number. I counter with what I think is a very fair number. No comment comes back. I'm ghosted, and likely blocked. Maybe she does need the money? Maybe she's looking for a financial whale? Or maybe I dodged a bullet?

I don't really see a difference in the sugar bowl and the pro realm anymore. And, quite frankly, I feel like I'm priced out of this whole thing.

You need to put some time and effort to make sugar work for you. And yes there are pros, but most of the sugar bowl is built around a different kind of relationship.. yes you bang, but you spent time, have dinner, maybe take a trip.. it's not the same experience.  It's basically dating without the commitments and entanglements. But your choice on where to go with this...

Your experience with this one POT SB is not unique. But it's also not the ONLY experience likely to occur.  Despite your assessment, this IS a dating process, not a pro booking process.  If you asked out one woman you met at a bar or a party and she declined, would you stop asking out all women?   The sugar process involves connecting to many women, perhaps dozens, perhaps hundreds, to find the few that share a mutual interest in an arrangement between you and her.  

 
Most posters here will go through as many as 40-60 profiles to start. From those, maybe 10-15 will result in exchanging messages. And from those, maybe 2-5 will result in a meet & greet. And from those maybe 1-3 will result in BCD time.  

 
I look at "success" rate much more like a batting average than an archery score.  If you can convert 2 out of ten "at bats," you are a .200 hitter. If you can convert 6 out of 20, you are a .300 hitter - and that's major league performance.  

 
My current rotation (yes, I have multiple SB's that I see every month) includes allowances from $200/ppm to $350/ppm, with one outlier Asian A-List porn star for less than $1,000 (hey, she's an absolute freak in bed!). In the 6-8 months it took to build this, I probably went through 300 profiles, 40-50 message sessions, and 12-20 M&G's to get here.  Worth it.

I'll just echo what the others have said.  I've enjoyed some notable success as a long time, committed sugar dater.  But it takes a lot of work, and if that does not suit you, certainly stick with the pros.  My last date with my slim, beautiful, amazingly sweet 24yo SB was typical.  We met and spent a wonderful time in bed, hung out talking for a while in post coital bliss, got dressed and went out to dinner together, and parted with a kiss while I slipped her usual 200 into the tight back pocket of her jeans.  We spent about 23 hours together.  Imo, way better than dating pros, but ymmv!

You may have to spend 10x the time researching who you want to see (I haven't actually run the numbers to see if 10x is right). But the girl(s) you want is (are) available to you.

 
A few weeks ago I was discouraged by a dearth of chicks available and willing to meet my terms. But the last two weeks produced rotations of three chicks a week @ 400 or less. My fave is a 28yo Asian stewardess (or "flight attendant" for the politically correct). She can travel anywhere for free and has flexible scheduling.  #2 is a 25yo Indian analyst for a top tier consulting firm. She can break away for dinner, lunch, brunch, or really anytime. #3 is a 23yo white law student. #1 and 2 and petite and #3 is average. All are in a top 5 US city in the Midwest. And that may involve 100 plus messages and wading through lot of scammers and flakes - the upfront sunk cost is huge - think of it as a building a highway that is a money and time pit in the beginning but then pays off steady stream of tax revenue via increased commerce for a long time.

I basically agree. I signed up for premium for 90 days recently after a gap of a few years. I had decided well before it expired to let it do so with no regrets. It has greatly deteriorated from what is was a few years ago. What I found were many more scams and many more overpriced pros who seem to be anything but GFE. Without reviews, you also have very little idea what or are getting or the validity of the claims. I think you would do better sticking to TER or or other straightforward escort sites and looking for reviews that indicate real GFE.

What our hockey-puck friend says here is as accurate as Sean Spicer's claims about the size of the inaugural crowd.  

I assure you, and I am confident that many others will as well, that my posts ARE the norm. I am with Herb on this one. Maybe its the market you are playing in or you just need more patience? I am on my two months in the bowl in NYC and finally getting pretty good success at the same $250-400, he's offering in LA. Sure, I got shot down (even laughed at) on some of my offers but the only ones who didn't at least try to negotiate were clearly pros or desperate for some set cash target bc of a personal situation.

Took a couple of tweaks to the profile and some practice to get the hang of which POTs are time wasters, pros/semi-pros vs ones worth pursuing. Others have commented on this but new or returning girls also seem to come in waves.....end of the month rent due, school schedule, need new SD, etc. I think I have finally got my profile down to what works in my area with the type of SBs I want, so now get a steady 1-2 inbound msg from a decent POT every day or two.

I don't have a RV handy (unlike some other lucky ppl here!) but even with the added $100-150 for a hotel, the economics are still way more attractive than a pro, not to mention a better, longer experience. Also I was pleasantly surprised that the two SBs I've gone BCD with offered to host if I wanted to see them again. The bowl is definitely a marathon not a sprint and I for one am glad to have finally taken the plunge after getting bored with pros.

Let me add a blackmail attempt from tonight to the reasons to avoid the S site.

I'm in the NYC sugar bowl also and am probably leaving after this weekend. I've found none in your $$ range you mentioned and the last one I chatted with wanted $1K, the one before here $800. Both were from SB. From SA, I once one for $400 but she left the bowl.  The time it takes to find a non-scammer takes too long and time and patience is what I don't have to waste. I think I'll come back in Aug when the new co-eds start looking.
