Some recent observations to ponder:
1. "I'm sober" vs. "I don't drink." Well this seems obvious when looked at side by side. But I've seen a few profiles now where the POT says she is "sober" as opposed to saying she does not drink. Most of these sober POT's go on to mention mental health, treatment, rehab, etc. Now I'm certainly supportive of people who find a way to address and overcome their personal struggles. No judgement! But I caution any SD about entering an arrangement with someone who is still working on recovery. I've been there more than once. Not recommended.
2. The Crypto Gang is now using Euro-babes. I got a message from a 30-ish Euro blond babe. She was vague about what part of LA she is in, and when pressed told me she lives in Beverly Hills, which, along with Hollywood, is a yellow flag as these are probably the most well-known locations for people who have never been to LA, or California. I played along when she pushed to go to WhatsApp and - BINGO! - within 12 minutes "she" mentioned crypto! Now in "let's try to fuck with the scammer" mode, I made a rather controversial (if you are crypt-idiot) statement: "I don't invest in commodities." She questioned how I could say that since I am a retired financial services guy. I just LOL'd her and asked her to tell my why crypto is not a commodity. Then I signed off with a "Good luck" message. One hour later she replies: "Don't you want to learn about investing together?"
3. Phone number in her 1st or 2nd message. Been seeing this more frequently. All of them have failed my vetting process. Most of them included profile pics that look like pro shots; perfectly composed, high-fashion attire, no "junk" in the backgrounds, perfect lighting, etc. Interestingly, none got a hit in reverse-image searches. And, no selfies either.
4. Headless pics: Not new, and insta-pass for me. It's the obverse of face-only pics. Both are yellow flags.
