Ok so my newest #1 SB - as of May, she was 19 at the when we met - is a petite Vietnamese spinner, maybe 5'1" and about 110 lbs. She's sweet, submissive, has yet to beg me for cash between BCD dates and sends me unsolicited pics (including nudes) and short "miss you" texts on occasion. In bed, she's - well the best single-word description I have is - enthusiastic.
Now here's the thing: She's had a sheltered life growing up under the Catholic-Asian-conservative eyes of her divorced mother. Among other life experiences she has missed, is a dearth of upscale dining. So I have been gradually taking her to many of my favorite fine dining places: steak houses, lobster houses, sushi, and others. These are the kind of places where dinner for two (less booze - she does not drink) never cost less than $80 and can be as much as $300. After several of these dinners, I see a consistent pattern: She always orders at least 2 entrees and multiple sides. Saturday night it was BBQ. She ordered a 3-meat combo AND a full order of gumbo, plus 2 appetizers, and an extra side (the combo came with 2 sides). Of course, she can't possibly finish everything she orders. Hell I'm 6'1" and weigh over 300 lbs and I couldn't finish that much food! So we always end up with one or two bags of leftovers when we leave. The net effect on the bill is maybe a 35-50% bump in the total amount. Not life-changing for me - the delta amounts to perhaps 15-25% of her allowance.
Still, I don't know whether to be amused or annoyed at this. If you've ever been to an Asian restaurant, you know the standard format is to order multiple dishes for sharing. So maybe she doesn't realize that ordering an extra pound of king crab legs or an additional NY strip steak that she won't eat at the table adds up. Maybe she's totally aware and is really doing this to help Mom feed the family, hoping I won't notice or mind. And no, I haven't actually asked her why... yet.
What do you think? Cute little quirk, or not-so-subtle attempt to game my generosity? Anyone see similar behavior (food-based or otherwise) from an SB? If you have, did it bother you?
