I bought credits on the site to try it out.  Zero meetings.  99% of the messages I sent were not replied to.  Even 99% of the girls who messaged me first did not contact me again after I responded.  It seems to me the site is likely almost entirely populated by bots designed to get you to spend credits.  If it were like seeking, where one monthly fee lets you read and send messages on an unlimited basis, I would perhaps give it more time, but where you have to spend credits to read a message, see private photos, see read receipts, etc, I don't see a way for the site to be a worthwhile expenditure.  I have had far more success on seeking - so much in fact that I have more options than time.

I haven't used it for at least 5 years. And the problems you outline are the reasons why.  

 
I am convinced their real business model is churning message credit spend. Making a real match is actually counter-productive to their revenue model.
