With the economic tsunami brought by the coronavirus, the SB market is flooded. The hospitality industry is on life support, colleges have sent all their hotties home with nothing to do, non-essential workers of all types are forced to take PTO, and the list goes on and on. Yesterday, I set up meet and greets for the next 4 days.
The problem is....most businesses are closed. Met a 22 yo desperate college student today at Dunkin Donuts! Going out this evening and looking for some hole-in-the wall establishments for meet and greets. And hotel rates are rock bottom! This is definitely a buyers market.
Where I am, all "non life sustaining businesses" are closed. Restaurants were ordered closed almost a week ago. I suspect soon this will be the norm across much of the country.
It does make "public first meetings" more challenging.
Our bars and restaurants were only shut down at close of business Friday night, so this is brand new for us, I am still debating how to meet new SB's or if I am going to simply be happy with my existing rotation until this is behind us. I have to be honest, my rotation is down to four, and I don't know if I can take fucking the same four girls for the next several weeks.
One other thing to consider for myself at least, All my SB's have "day jobs" and I don't expect any of them to still be working for more than another few days at the most. I know all of them are going to need more help than usual. I may forego meeting new SB's for a while in order to take better care of the ones I already have. My income has also been slashed by two thirds, so it's not like I have an unlimited pussy budget anymore.
One good thing about living in population dense DC Metro, is that you can usually find what you want. There are a few dive bars and some mom-n-pop restaurants still open. Took a potential SB to one today. She was overdressed, tried to order fancy drinks that they didn't have, but appreciated the efforts. Moving into negotiations with her. Going again to same place tomorrow with another prospect. Gotta set the roster before everything is shut down.
