Here is the newest YouTube vlog from Barndon Wade, co-CEO of Seeking.
He's giving tips and best practice advice on writing effective profiles. I really can't fault any of his talking points, even if he's talking about a different "dating" objective than we discuss here. He also suggests that people who don't feel their writing skills are up to speed use ChatGPT to do the job for them. Perhaps a good idea, but possibly fraught with unwanted issues. AI applications like this have been known to occasionally just make up shit (what the techies call "hallucinating") and any text produced really needs to be well-proof-read by the "author" or user. But if it gets the job done, maybe this is yet another example of how AI allows people to succeed in spite of having zero skills or talent. Is that a good thing? Probably not in the long run. But if it helps an inarticulate guy get laid... who am I to judge? (Editor's note: This AI-generated paragraph required several edits prior to approval for publication. LOL.) Here's the link. I wouldn't mind if Seeking (and all other sites) made this mandatory viewing for all new users. Life is good The Cat
I think it's a bad idea all around. Computer written profiles don't reflect the real personality of the user. It's bad enough the scammers are using AI to generate fake profiles now real people have the opportunity to have a computer write copy that they themselves are unable to write themselves. For me, the vote is no I don't think it's a good thing. It gives a false impression of the real person.
