Seeking Newsletter: Brandon is Back!

Got an email yesterday from Seeking on all of my accounts, including my "research" SB account.  Here's the intro:

"As some of you may know, I met my soulmate, Dana, on Seekin‌g‌.‌c‌o‌m in late 2020 and we married in 2022. I retired after our wedding to focus on our love, handing Seekin‌g‌.‌c‌o‌m to the care of a management team. After spending over 18 months traveling the world with Dana, we are back with a deeper understanding of love and with a clearer vision for where Seekin‌g‌.‌c‌o‌m needs to go.

Since I returned to lead Seekin‌g‌.‌c‌o‌m earlier this year, I have been working on fixing issues with our service, on rebranding, and on a new direction for the business. I am lucky to have my wife, a 23 year old Gen-Zer, who will be adding the feminine touch. She is currently being mentored by me, and we will soon announce her appointment as co‑CEO of Seekin‌g‌.‌c‌o‌m."

The full text of the email is found with the link below.

The TLDR version is that they will be making several "improvements" (could be good, could be bad) to the service in the following areas:
- Rebranding: The new concept is Hypergamy (google it, please)
- Product fixes: Reduce scammers, more pics on profiles, and more (required?) verification options
- Enhanced search and match process
- New "discretion" features: Get verified but stay anonymous (WTF is that?)
- New Brandon Podcast bi-weekly.

Did you get the email?
Do you smell disaster on the horizon?
Or are you looking forward to "Seeking 3.0"?

Life is good

The photo of him with his grand daughter is not too flattering, but the statement he is going to "mentor" her to become the ceo is even more ridiculous. Obviously she must possess some good dick sucking skills, but otherwise it's all a farce.

I don't know what to make of Brandon Wade being back as CEO of Seeking. It seems when he started it he had the right idea but I think pressure from FOSTA has placed him in an impossible position where the only way he can keep the site going is rebranding it as a regular dating site. Of course, most people aren't seeing it as that, they are using it for its original purpose, as a sugaring site. So we have this situation where women can often be solicitous without reprimand but some men are banned if they try to use the site for its intended purpose. It's hard to believe we live in a country that still villifies sex while it accepts the most horrific violence, but then there are a lot of things that have gone all to hell. I don't think Wade has much of choice other than to make it tougher and tougher for people to sugar or he could get shut down.

He once asked my #1 (from a while ago) out.  She said gross, and no.  Lol

Anyway, if recent changes are any indication, he is going to drive customers away.

I had received the email but had not opened it yet. And I didn't even know that Brandon had taken a leave of absence from helming SA!  That said, I can't imagine any changes being good ones.  The site has undergone many changes recently such as no longer displaying the number of search results, and no longer saying when you last viewed a profile.  Every change has made the site less useful for us, so I imagine that downward trend will continue.

As far as I can tell, there is still no hard policy banning explicit sexual talk on SA.  As long as there is absolutely no way to construe your comments as implying PFP, you can still discuss sex.  But even so, I prefer to take such conversations offline.  I'll go read the entire email now and maybe comment more later.
