Curious about the common practice of going behind closed doors with a SB,  What is the norm (if any)?  
I prefer her place if we meet on a regular basis, never at my place but usually end up at a hotel.  The hotel adds approximately $100 to the evening’s outlay so I’m curious.  And are you more generous with a lady that hosts at her place?

I offer a rate per session ( 1-2 hours) and then add a hosting bonus of $100.  If they can't host that money goes for the hotel.

It's really not much different for me than bringing home some hottie I met any other way, but I do get why that's not an option for you married guys, although I have noticed that a LOT of single guys for one reason or another don't like to bring SB's or Hookers to their homes.  

 
Personally I am open to all three of the options you mention. Since I live in a rather small city I often see SB's who live quite a distance from me, many of them have roommates or have other reasons that they can't can host so a hotel ends up being the only option, but when at home I never use a hotel, I am much more comfortable in either my home or hers, although I will confess that I end up hosting a LOT more often than I end up going to "her place", besides most SB's are struggling financially and my place is usually a lot nicer than hers.

 
When I do travel I of course much prefer it if the lady can host, I don't make any overt adjustments to her "allowance" if she can't host, but even though the hundred bucks for a room really doesn't impact my life I do have to admit I do find myself being just a little bit more generous with a girl who invites me into her home than one that I have to see BCD in a hotel room.

Yes, being single would makes this pastime so much easier but I made a different decision 20 years ago and now I own that decision.

Try looking for an Airbnb in the area you want to meet. You might find some good places at reasonable rates, especially in non-peak days and times.

Next, if you will be near and airport or the financial/business center of a major metro area, look for short term/day rate hotels.  You can usually book at decent room for about 50-75% of the normal full day rate. Note: This is not to suggest booking hourly rooms in the sleazy part of town. These "hooker" hotels are perfect eye-candy for local LE's who are bored and want to make a quick vice sting to fill out thier quotas.

Before I get to my suggestions I want to point out why it can be a very bad idea to bring her to your home or go to hers.  In the first place, she knows whwere you live and can case the joint, only to return with crew to rip you off later on.  In the second case, you have no idea who else has a key to her place.  A good friend of mine wound up getting dragged out of his SB's bed in the middle of the night by her crazy ex husband who still had a key.  Got pretty badly beat up but managed to escape when the guy put a gun to his head!  

My favorite way to go BCD  is in my RV.  I get teased about this a lot by some of the regulars here and can't for the life of me understand why.  It's an excellent solution to the problem.  Just last week I met a new SB, just19yo, for coffee.  We already had agreed there was no pressure or expectation beyond getting to know each other, but if we both felt the chemistry we'd take things from there.  Turns out we were both delighted with each other and ready to play BCD.  That's when I told her I had brought my RV.  We strolled out to the parking area, climbed aboard and had a delightful time.  She loved it and thought the RV was so nice, so cozy and private.  That's been the reaction I've had from all my SBs.  And earlier today I had my first BCD date with yet another new SB, in the RV, same reaction.  She loved it, we got seriously busy, a wonderful time.  No hotel costs, no creepy desk staff watching you go through the lobby together, no phone call telling her which room to meet you in, etc.  

My other suggestion is admittedly not gonna work for most of you but here it is anyway.  I've invited many an escort and SB to meet me in the marina aboard my sailboat.  It's a cozy spot for a romantic rendezvous and has served me well in that capacity for many years.  Anyway guys, hope you are having fun out there!

dayuse.com is an excellent alternative...it allows you to rent a hotel room for a few hours in middle of the day. Let's keep them in business. That said, in LA, even with dayuse, I'm looking at $150 to $200 for the room, and that goes higher if you add in parking. I go for decent hotels, not five star, but also not a Best Western. I'm trying to give the impression I have some money. Where  do u find rooms for $100?

In Florida almost all the time at decent hotels -  $100

Timing can be the key.

Go for a dead time of the week like Saturday in an area that serves office parks.

Time of year is very important; for touristy cities, avoid school vacation months.

Searching for last minute deals also works, there's nothing so perishable as an unused hotel room.
