Typically my search is inclusive of 'average' and time-to-time I've wondered in the twilight zone of 'curvy'
but the past few months it just seems the girls are eating a lot better and mostly the average looks about 6 months pregnant.
When I cull back my searches to slim/athletic the hits drop about 1/3
I suppose: such is life.
Curvy means morbidly obese.
Usually. But some chicks with nice bods use curvy as a description. Don't throw out the baby with the bath water.
And that's a problem. I now typically start my search with Slim and Athletic only. If I don't see anything I like. I add in Average and look again. After that, I'll add curvy. If I still don't like what I see, I remove curvy and average and extend my radius from 10 miles to 15 or 25. (You can set the query to 15 by manipulating the query string - if you know how). And then, as before, I can add in average and curvy if needed.
The problem, IMO, is that body awareness is deeply connected to self-esteem and other factors. That means a woman with a tiny waist and big tits, but a poor self-image may list herself as curvy, when I see her as, well it's not in the search options, but I'd call her fuckable any day of the week. And a (usually younger) SB may be adversely influenced by IG pics and call herself average when we might call her athletic or slim.
Now if SA allowed an SB to add specific metrics, like BMI, dress size, weight, bust vs waist size, etc., we would have a much more specific idea when you add in a fee good full body pics.
Until then, I am resigned to tweak the search filters as I go.
And yes, there are plenty of SB's joining who are too chunky for most SD's. But there is also a minor, but real population of Chubby-Chaser SD's as well. After all, can you really tell she's fat when she's blowing you in the dark? The answer is yes! You can absolutely tell. But let's face it, a BJ is like pizza... when it's good, it really great. And when it's bad, it's still pretty good. :p

Like you've stated, many women, the prettier they are and the sexier they are, have some deep self-esteem issues, and see more flaws in themselves than any other person in the planet could ever see. My opinion is that's what was going on here. I decided to wait until I saw her in the flesh to take this worry of hers into consideration. Let me tell you, in person she was one of the sexiest women I've ever seen. Go figure, right?
Now if SA allowed an SB to add specific metrics, like BMI, dress size, weight, bust vs waist size, etc., we would have a much more specific idea when you add in a fee good full body pics.
As usual, Herb's advice is spot on. I just want to reinforce the idea of checking on the curvies every once in a while. Sometimes a girl who we'd call slim calls herself curvy because she is, well, curvy, but in the very best way. Especially newbies to the sugar bowl who don't realize that curvy generally is a euphemism for overweight. A few years ago I dated a girl I found on the curvy list who was simply one of the most spectacularly beautiful women it's ever been my pleasure and privilege to play with. Simply stunning. So I continue to check on the curvies from time to time in hopes of finding another hidden gem.
I know that SBs are rarely reviewed, but this comes up on General and S&P every now and then.

The dumb Review "Build" choices (slender ... athletic ... curvy ... few extra pounds ... flabby ... plus size ... ???) are pretty dumb and meaninglessly ambiguous. Athletic like an Olympic Figure Skater (yesssssss!) or like a Bulgarian weight lifter (no thank you)?? A "few" extra pounds? Is 3 a few? Is 30 a few? And so on.
.
And that's why "IMAGES not ADJECTIVES" is such a brilliant suggestion for a new / updated Review form.

While I'm at it ...
Replace "Ethnicity" (a poor substitute for "color") with two data fields:
COMPLEXION from a cosmetics color chart (e.g., the Mattell Barbie color complexions from Espresso to Coconut) (Brazilians, AAs, and others can range from Espresso to Coconut)
CULTURAL background
.
Replace Hair Color with a hair color chart

X-out-of-Y Scoring Benefits Everyone

Briefly: 7-out-of-7 is a great performance score. 7-out-of-10 is not so great. I have had some FANTASTIC 7-out-of-7s. If I was scanning reviews, I'd prioritize a 7/7 over a 7/10 (and 6/7 over 6/10 and so on).

We now return to our regular broadcast ...
The bikini body builder I saw had a mix of types 0 and 8, and not 9. Yes she was a real bikini body builder, I saw her competition pics online. She clearly stuffed her bra in the competition. And oiled and fake tanned up, she had a lot of muscle definition. But in person off training she just looked petit -- but was fricken strong as a horse and could fuck on top for hours. She like did a marathon using one leg in cow girl. Incredible.
We all like what we like; just the way it is. I sometimes play around with body types in the search parameters, but always go back to a default of all body types, because, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, body image varies from one gal to the next. Except for height, which I always leave set at a minimum of 5'3". That preference comes from experience and I just can't get around it. Not too long ago I hooked up with an SB who indicated having lost considerable weight and thus having loose flabby skin. To me she looked great in her pics, and the selfies she sent indicated what I viewed as very beautiful skin. We went right from the M&G coffee to her bed. and yeah she had loose flabby skin, but was also one of the most incredible and passionate lovers I've ever been with. Whether I was atop or under, having two handfuls of her generous love handles was an incredible turn on. We had 4 steamy sex dates before going our separate ways. So while my minds eye image of the perfect female body is lithe and leggy, the lines get blurred at times.
Except for right now while I’m recovering from a particularly bad accident, my body type was what you would probably call “slim, distance runner”. And I prefer women who are close to that level of slimness and body type. I prefer a moderately good fitness level. But, as long as they have the energy to sustain more than an hour in bed, I’m good.
But I’ve found no way (so far) to filter for that body type in the sugar bowl. This is a big part of why I’ve only played in it a few times. On those occasions I got lucky and was able to ascertain in advance that the girl had the right body type. In one case it was a 19 year old former high school track star who really needed extra cash to get back on her feet and back into college.
For me, she was close to perfect. While it lasted.
For the first time, as I read the responses here, I have begun to realize that the issue is more common than I thought.
I’d love to hear what you guys do to identify girls who match your own body type preferences. It seems to be consistent with the OP’s intent. If anyone thinks I need to start a new thread, please let me know.
As usual, this sub forum seems to produce such constructive insight.
The main issue I have with 'average' that its seeming like so many of the girls know they're fat but then either don't post full body photos or use those with high angle shots. Meaning, that I have to invite them to text and then totally waste my time after seeing the flab hang over their tight cutoffs or bikini bottoms. Then, of course, I have to make up an excuse why I don't want to see (fuck) them and not come across like a total pig.
Herb's idea of using a new metric (that includes weight) would help alot, but it's obviously not in SA best interest to implement it.
I had that exact experience recently and I HATE coming across as a total pig, but what are you gonna do? After moving to text she finally sent me a full body pic and I discovered she was very overweight, way beyond my limit. So I begged off. She asked why. I debated what to say but finally told her the truth as gently as possible. I said that chemistry is key and I'm just not feeling it. Told her she really should post at least one cclear full body shot online so she will only attract the guys who like her body type. Her reply was "Ouch" and I felt bad for hurting her feelings.
I was on sugar daddy meet for a while which was okay until so many fatties showed up that they actually removed body type from search. That's when I left the site
I just went back to SA and I see a brand new profile popped up not too far from me. Her body type says slim which is why she showed up on my search. And to her credit, she posted several very clear pictures of her figure. She's quite a thick, hefty gal. Not even close to slim. Sigh...
