Had a thought early this AM - wondered if there were any statistics on the incidence of divorce in Canada vs USA (or other countries where the hobby is verboten)?
I would assume it to be lower in Canada than the US. The Question is, how much??
NB Didn't know if I should post here or the general forum, so if more appropriate elsewhere, the let me know!
yep, these types of queries are best addressed to the General Discussion board. On the other hand, the info is very easy to find on the Net. Since our posting format only allows one URL link per message, here's a fine piece of info on Canada, including comparison rates with selected other countries (n.b. how the U.S. is not included, but you can glean the info from the other attached link http://www.cfc-efc.ca/docs/vanif/00005_en.htm
The statistics are somewhat dated but as of 1994 the US incidence of divorce is almost double the Canadian statistic. Furthermore, the Canadian incidence is almost identical to the incidence of those countries that have legal hobbying (Netherlands, Sweden??).
Now, isn't that interesting. I wonder what the violence statistics would show?
