I've only done PPM in my 3+ years in the sugar bowl, but wondering about folks who go to allowances. If you have a regular SB (with or without exclusivity) you are seeing regularly.. there would be pros and cons. You could meet up spontaneously, take trips, do overnights and get together more frequently (probably a better financial deal in many cases, but that wouldn't be the main issue. The cons would be the idea of a commitment, attachment beyond your normal boundaries and some of the other inconveniences of a traditional relationship.  
I realize most folks here are dedicated PPM people (as I have been) but interested in hearing any thoughts, especially from guys who have tried this.

I know of only 2 ladies that got monthly. One of them moved in with daddy. Is getting married in July. Her daddy groomed her to be a hotwife and once that genie got out of the bottle  he may have trouble getting her back. Turns out daddy is a cuck and she doesn't like that. Lol .

Good topic 'Mouche.  Like many of us, I've never done a monthly allowance, only PPM.  But lack of firsthand experience won't keep me from expressing an opinion, lol.  Your comments about pros and cons ignores what I think is the most serious con related to a monthly allowance, and that is the negative psychological effect it would have on both parties. Sooner or later, your schedules won't align, and several weeks will go by with no dates. She's going to see the end of the month approaching, knowing she has not visited you recently for whatever reason, and start to feel obligated to see you whether she wants to or not.  She knows you paid her for the month and might be unwilling to pay her for the next month if she has not delivered on the deal.  For your part, you will likely feel entitled to her time and company for very much the same reasons.  These feelings of obligation and entitlement are serious buzz kills.  And they are totally avoidable in a PPM scenario.  When you have a PPM date, at the very least you both know that the other person is there because they actually want to be there, not because they feel obligated or entitled.  Very different feeling to it.  So that's my major concern regarding a monthly allowance.

I'll start by saying, keep control over it and lock that quality down tight.  Don't be afraid to pull on the reigns.  If you give her slack she will take it.

I'll go in order so you can see what I learned from it.

First time. She was ppm for a while.  Going good.  Then, she asked for weekly and was willing to take a lower amount.  Her logic, if she's sick something is there to count on.  Was good for a month.  Then she missed a week. Then back.  Then missed two weeks.  When I called her on it she told me she moved back to Georgia.  When I did a wtf?  She didn't respond.  So she would have kept the money coming as long as she could.

Second time. On and off sb.  We talked about consistency and being serious.  She got her allowance every Tuesday and weekly dates.  It was good.  Till she started missing.  I cut her off, she didn't say much in her defense.

Three times now, I've gone to monthly paying her rent.  First one, I just covered it at the beginning of the month with the expectation of weekly dates.  After two months she ghosted me at the beginning of the month.  No words spoken when I didn't pay the following month. A few years later I saw her back on SA looking like she had aged a decade.

Now, the lease is in my name.  I had two SBs at one time I was paying for apartments.  One, I found out had a side boyfriend after a year so I booted her out.  She still tries to get back with me.  Nope, if I pay rent you are not dating anyone else.

My main, we just renewed the lease on her place.  I pay the rent and we are together as often as we can.  We talk everyday.  She travels for work so the deal is we get full weekends together.  She spoils me and makes me feel like a king.  We've been together 3 years.  She said she wants to bring another girl for our next weekend together.

So, payoffs can be huge.  But like any relationship, you are putting a lot of effort expecting most to fail.

I like this concept of having the lease and paying the rent.

I've recently decided on a monthly allowance as a way of corralling a super hot 29yo with DDD's. She's escort quality for BCD so as a selfish bastard, I'm not about to share her with unwashed masses!

You mentioned about 'booting her out' if things deteriorate, but what if she doesn't agree? Don't think there's much legal precedent about kicking out a SB, so wonder how you might handle it?

Part of this varies by state.  I would consult an attorney or at the very least be familiar with eviction laws when it comes to guests.  In California, I don't actually have a high burden of proof.  And I can get in front of a judge in under a month.  Plus charging her all costs including damages.  So, it's rather easy.  

I do get her to sign an agreement with me that she will vacate the premises within 21 days upon written notice from me.  Legally, I do have to give 30 days, so a 9 day grace period.  If she has been in for more than a year, so my main now qualifies for this, she can demand an additional 30 days.  Meaning the worst case is 60 days.  

In the case of the girl I booted, she packed up and was out in a few hours.  All of the furniture was mine.  No idea where she went to.  She just knew she fucked up and didn't want to make it worse.  She did make it a drama filled afternoon, but she lost her gravy train from her own actions.

To me , it seems a lot of the true benefits of allowance accrue to those who can fully benefit from overnights, weekends, casual sex multiple times a day while hanging out etc  —  

which makes it a bit more difficult for married men to see the true value proposition  

Although one can always maintain a  discreet sugaring pad  

I have tried allowance where I was paying her bills directly and one where I gave her cash.  

The bills lady was more genuine in her effort , while the cash in hand one ghosted me after three months, but made sure to collect her money first , lol

Mostly a lurker but been in the bowl using the advice here for coming up on a decade, and I've only given one monthly allowance in all that time.  She was a stunning, smart, mid-20s, GND type, new to the bowl, that didn't like the "feel" of PPM and reasonably agreed to receive the allowance at the end of the month, so I figured if she didn't hold up her end I could ghost and not lose out.  It was never an issue and while it only lasted a few months, it was the best arrangement I ever had.  We saw each other once a week and talked/texted nearly daily; she was more of a girlfriend than any of the other SBs I'd had or have had since.  When she ended it (after a girl's trip, where I suspect she confided about and was shamed for her arrangement with me), she did so at the beginning of the month, without drama.  So while that was an amazing arrangement, I haven't done an allowance since as the fears about scheduling are real.

Can't go wrong with an end of the month arrangement but good luck finding that again. I think 15th and 30th maybe  but 1st and 30th is more common.
