Two months ago I posted that my #1 SB of over a year (she recently reminded me it will be 2 years in August) started a relationship and how it impacted me (no more access to her townhouse, limited text messaging).  Well as predicted....it didn't last long.  

After announcing her bourgeoning relationship, I wished her luck and told her that I would continue to see her with the new rules in place.  I also went radio silent, only responding to her inquires, but not initiating dates or convo.  Truly gave her space.  And worked on my roster.

Have no idea of what happened, but she hasn't mentioned "new boyfriend" ever again.  We continue to have sex all over her townhouse sometimes in the afternoon and frequently in the evening.  We've even done a few late night romps with a come back the next AM for wake up sex (have a question about that and will start a new thread to discuss).

Part of me thinks the "new boyfriend" wasn't real, or maybe just a fling....but it doesn't matter and I don't care.  All is well, and life in the bowl continues to be good!

... the general consensus here was that the new BF would not last long considering his BS rules for her.  

 
So congrats! I think you played it perfectly. In particular, giving her space, not pouting like a little bitch about her situation, and still always being available for her without judgement or pressure.   I'd say she found her path back to you when she saw you and him as such polar opposites in the way each of you treated her.  You set up an NSA arrangement with her and you honored it all the way. He set up a dating relationship with her and he demanded she make changes for him.

I mentioned this before, but one SB told me she couldn't see me any more because she had gotten a boyfriend. It was literally like the next day she contacted me and said they'd broken up and I could start seeing her again.
