MP67 & I frequently joke about getting offers from providers that want our bodies (individually, for the record) and will make insane offers for the benefit. Seriously though, I've heard rumblings ever since joining the site that each city has a guy who tries to use his board fame to his advantage. I've heard it about several mods in days gone by and got one booted for trying it a year or so ago. There were a couple LV guys that had the reputation. I've met both of them and they each denied it. I know of a guy in another city that had a system going where he'd request discounts, claiming poverty. The story was that in exchange, he'd write a fair review but his name had so much weight that business would be booming. If the discount couldn't be negotiated, he'd bad mouth the lady to all his minions until she saw the light and corrected her error in judgement.
There's no need to mention that it's a scummy thing to do, but does anyone have stories to share? Let's keep the names out of it. That's what PM's are for.

But really, that's fucked up. IMHO if a lady likes your 'board presence' or the other ladies tell her what a great guy you are and she decides she wants to see you for a special deal, that's HER deal. To YOU. Guys trying to use their supposed 'status' as a weapon to get something they wouldn't ordinarily get is just pussy-shit to me.
I'll admit, there was a time or two when a lady said 'I want to meet you. I'll spend this amount of time with you for this much' which, when you do the math in your head when you look at her rates compared to time spent with her was something I couldn't pass up. But that was her deal, not mine. *

i had a couple of guys on this very board threaten to fuck with my reputation (i don't have a reputation haha) by deploying their minions, basically if I didn't stop making fun of them. "go to war" and vague crap. All of this was done via PM. One of them also left his phone number, telling me to call him so he could kick my ass. I don't know how you kick someone's ass over the phone.

They make deals with agencies for discounts in exchange for favorable reviews. They try to influence some "indies" as to who they ought to see and who they ought to DNS. Often this is with ladies with whom they have a relationship that is "special": SO, mentor, pimp.
They create drama, attract LE attention, leak from the RO board and when they finally get their dick in a jam sing like a bird and set up their "friends" for sessions with the Doughnut Boyz.
My two guesses for most flagrant , Nevada and New Mexico .

Admittedly, being known as a drunk who posts drunken nonsense half the time doesn't seem like the most brilliant idea when trying to get free pussy or a disconut.
Fortunately, I rely on my suave charm for that and don't need no board fame.
It happens rarely but I do get freebies every now and then. Unless they found out some other way, most of those ladies do not know my TER handle though so it isn't because of any 'board fame'. I keep the two as separate as possible and for a good reason.
I've never heard of any guys doing that but wouldn't be surprised.
I have had newbies who were excited to see someone who was a reviewer though. Seems some girls feel that getting shtupped by a guy with numerous reviews may get their Schitt rolling lol
If I can't afford a gal's rate, I move on. I have had gals who, after the fact, offered to grandfather me at a lower rate, but I didn't ask for it. I prefer not to give out my board handle unless it's required, for obvious reasons.
AN OC California based TER wannabe site commonly called "HX" totes a "Network" rating system where both hobbyists and providers give numerical scores to various "character" questions. Nice idea until you learn that unless those rating you are in the right administration and social cliques your aggregate outgoing average will be less than if you had the aforementioned "weighted" values on their side. (this"weighted" measure was explained by the admin himself in a blog)
If you are cooz'n up to either the right guys or gals you can have four total network ratings over a two month tenure on the site and enjoy the coveted "5" outgoing "Network" rating.
In contrast you can be there a year or more with thirty or more ratings (none scoring under a 4) and have a "3" outgoing "Network" rating. Also "Purchasing" from HX what is known as FX points (used to post ads and such) seems to accelerate ones "Network" rating in the community.
