Such a Shame

I had family who was there this morning before the bombing and had she stuck around another hour or so she may have been a casualty.

Nothing seems to surprise me anymore in regards to how utterly nuts people are, in this world.

I have no idea. All I can think is that she meant the "cause or reason" for the bombing was not a big deal, and not the bombing itself. Like, maybe the reason they did it was fkin retarded.

He did not finish, but he saw the devestation up close. and posted the following in memory of the victims.

I & still have family there...  work in suburban ER.  Locals had enough presence of mind to take minor injuries by private vehicle to outlying hospitals for treatment.  It'll be days before we get a true casuality count.

I believe fatalities would have been even higher, if emts and the medical tent were not so close.

none of my family were near the event. I was concerned for my son, watching the end of the race would be something he and his friends would do, but thankfully he was nowhere around the site. The rest of my family are all well also.

Happy to hear your friend was not at the site of the blast. The healing from the trauma will now have to begin, it's is important he have friends to talk to about it. I wish him the best, people in his position are often forgotten about, he was a victim too.

Lucky him that in general, they seemed to have hit more spectators than the runners. The worst injury to a runner seems to be some scraped knees from being knocked off their feet by one of the blasts.
