How would you have liked to try to explain that one to the cops.
"Well, as I grabbed her purse and tried to take a few hundred dollars she pulled out a gun which we then struggled over and that was then the bouncer outside the room got shot by the stray bullet".
That was pretty stupid. I mean, I feel sorry for you in the whole ripoff thing, but that was pretty stupid.
I'm not sure what to do about this now. This gal is a scam, claiming to be an escort, and providing no services other than a teeny backrub. That's nothing new of course. But she is dangerous. I asked for my money back, then I asked for half. She started screaming. Admittedly, we struggled a minute over her purse. (I never touched her. Yet, I take being scammed seriously.) Her scheduler was on the phone telling her to give me some money back. The gal pulls out mace. I rush out. And still she maces me.
Have you ever been maced? It is brutal. Oh great, I'll just go back to the office now.
Anyway, tho the scam is very frustrating, I feel compelled to warn others about her dangerousness. She might have shot me. I called the scheduler to politely complain. They didn't know what to think, because psycho of course was telling them I went psycho. I don't think the scheduler knows her very well. Should I encourage them to drop her? Of course I could drop the whole thing, but I feel other hobbyists should know (I would have liked to). Ladies, please chime in here. This is not good for anyone's business. I, myself, am a changed man, much more wary. Review boards (if they survive) have new importance.
I posted a review. But what about others who don't know about that resource?
Sorry to hear about your horrific experience. It seems that you were taken for a ride.
When things go astray, the best thing to do is walk away. I am cognizant that it’s your hard-earned money, and nobody appreciates it going down the drain. Unfortunately, the options are very limited.
From what you described, it is apparent that there was an agency involved. I would appeal to their sense of fairness, and see what can be done. If they agree to work out a compromise -- that's fantastic. If not, it's a lost cause.
I would strongly suggest not getting into a physical contest or confrontation with your date -- and that includes grabbing her purse. It may backfire -- like her using mace, etc. All you can do is request for your refund, and conference her agency in as well.
The best thing you can do if post an accurate synopsis of what transpired. You may also want to contact the webmall and tell them about what transpired. Certain webmalls have integrity and will not allow scam artists to post again.
For the time being, rest up. Do your HOMEWORK, and research possible dates extensively.

If you feel so strongly about being taken for a ride, I would call the cops. But, DO keep in mind its a gamble.
Now, before you do this be prepared to get a tounge lashing or worse for your involvement by LE. The scam artist will have her fill too.
This is a TRUE story. A hobbyist was visiting Chicago. He was at one of their best hotels. Feeling lonely, he called a provider for a relaxed evening, and fun.
The date arrived, and things went astray. For starters, the agency had sent someone different. The date then attempted the cash and dash. On this fee is for the agency. Now for us to have fun, I need twice that.
Hobbyist asked to cancel, and a refund sans cancellation fee. He called agency. Date ran out of hotel room. Hobbyist called hotel security. They stopped the date. He informed them about why he had called the lady - he was lonely and needed company. The fee was paid for companionship for the hour and that the date had breached her agreement.
Hotel called LE. Chicago police were there in a heartbeat. They took statements. Found the $$$ the hobbyist had paid. Returned it to him, and sternly reminded him aboout the state laws.
And I'm not sure I agree that it "was your fault", because it doesn't sound like she was ever in a position of self-defense. She maced you on the way out the door? What is that?
Thank goodness for reviews. Yet, we must at times explore the unreviewed, I believe. Gosh, I'm scared now. Ouch, that must've hurt. Thanks for the efforts. Watch those purses, tho. She could indeed have pulled a gun.
