I just got an email from a providor I saw a few months ago letting me know that she was going to be in town and if I still wanted to meet her. I sent an email to her months ago (LAST time she was in town...and we met). She said she hopes to get to meet me. Apparently it wasn't a very memorable experience for her. Oh well. It wasn't really great for me either. Needless to say, I hit delete. LOL

You expect us to remember every sweaty bald guy we boink??? You say you saw her months ago. You aren't seriously so self-infatuated that you would think that she's been dreaming of you every night in the months following your tryst do you??

Wake up buddy. Its been a couple of months. She's boinked a couple hundred guys since you. Some better than you, some worse, but few of them any more memorable than any other.

Actually it was probably that she had a bunch of responses and sent out a boilerplate reply.  Or else she simply got mafishman confused with someone else.

But I agree with mafishman that she should have sent a more personal response to someone she'd seen before even if she had no clue who he was.

But all I can say is if he dated "ME" - he'd remember it!

I have a favorite lady in the South Jersey area that I've known and been seeing for about three years.  I first met her on a visit to Philly in the summer of 2005 and, even though we kept in email contact, didn't see her again until about a year later. When she came to my hotel for her second visit she greeted me with a big hug and the words "ah, now I remember who you are!" Did it bother me that she couldn't place a face with my name for all those months that we were emailing? Not really, I think it's a bit presumptuous to expect a lady to remember you after one visit.

I would say that the gal you mentioned IS a bit sloppy in her record keeping but honestly, do you really want her keeping records all that well? Seems like a lose/lose here. It's a bit of an ego-bruise to not be remembered but if she kept track of every guy she saw in every city we would all be complaining that she keeps our info and emails on file. It sounds like she just keeps a record of email addresses. Even this may be more than some guys are comfortable with...

Relax just a little bit there Rubberdoll! I was in no way saying or implying that I was some great lover or that she is wanting to see me again, or dreaming about me or anything like that. I don't know how you got that out of my post. I was just saying that she didn't remember that she had already had an appointment with me and now she's contacting me after already responding to the email back then.

First of all, randomly contacting a guy is a bad idea (it's been discussed on the board here before). She has obviously had the email for a couple months, never deleting it after we met. I was just surprised at the random email. She didn't have to remember me in detail. In her defense...at least she remembered that I wanted to see her and contacted me when she was in town, but still not a good idea.

Try not to be so confrontational when you post a reply. I am not self-infatuated at all quite honestly. So back off just a touch. I was posting to poke fun at myself and point out bad record-keeping habits of a providor.

Oh and by the way, I am not bald and sweaty either! I am on my way to the bald part, but I am not there yet! LOL

Well shucks, if you weren't sweaty too before it was all over, something wasn't right.

Yeah, like I said, it wasn't a real great experience. Not bad, just not very special.

I didn't post because I was offended or disappointed. I was laughing at the situation. I thought it was FUNNY that we had already met and she is just now replying and telling me she will be in town, a couple of months after the fact, especially since we have had zero contact since we met. It was a completely unsolicited email and she never deleted my original email after seeing me the first time. I am not upset, disappointed, offended, or hurt in any way from her lack of memory of me. I don't expect anyone to remember me any more than anyone else. Hope this clarifies my original post. I shared it cause I thought it was funny.

I'm sure you gents can't immediately place every business contact you've had.  Give the poor girl a break!  Especially if she travels, it's probably harder for her to keep track.  I'm sure it's not because you weren't memorable, but because an email addy isn't necessarily enough info for her to place you accordingly.  Hey...at least she followed up!

I, for one, have had gents specifically request that I leave no trace of our correspondence or meeting, and I honor those requests by deleting every last little shred of evidence.  They have also requested to contact me again in the future, and I advised them to please not be offended if I did not recognize them immediately.  Along with the physical cleaning, there is also a sort of mental cleaning that I'm confident other providers also experience (or can at least hopefully relate to) that often requires one heck of a jolt to remind me of a specific experience.  It's not just with providing, but lots of other things.  I guess that's just how my silly little brain works.  I'll definitely remember, I just don't daydream about it all the time.  

Chances are that providers have much more info to retain than hobbyists, and we're also working to keep our experiences as discreet as possible for everyone involved.  Pardon us if the mental Rolodex doesn't work as great as your Blackberry.

I contacted a lady (through email and PM) when she was in town a couple of manths ago.  She called in reply to my email and we got together.  A week later she replied to my PM saying she had left town and maybe we could meet the next time she was in town.  LOL.
