Your questions were answered there by xyz and Debra Hollander. Did you ever go back and read the responses on that thread? The newbie board is the place for these kinds of questions anyway. While people here have given you good responses, that doesn’t always happen on the general board.
How does someone get to be verified on TER, but they have never seen to their knowledge a TER member?
I am sure that there are literally thousands of "TER reviewed providers" who had no idea that they had been reviewed when their profiles were first created.
Ok so I guess my question is how do I get to post on here? I'm new to TER and I'm confused on how this site works
You can already post on here, like you are.
You can also ask the admins to link your account with your TER profile so people have an easy way of contacting you or otherwise seeing what you're all about. I've linked below to the provider welcome message for your convinience.
To get the process started, use the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page.
Anybody know a good tattoo removal parlor?
Anyone who's seen you can start a profile for you and leave a review on said profile.
You can, as a provider, claim a profile, and keep your information/menu/pricing/etc updated, and contest reviews from people you've never seen.
That said, there's a bunch of guys who have separate mongering/reviewing profiles, to avoid any potential backlash/blackmail, so it's probable that you have, in fact, seen a TER member and had a review created for you without knowing the reviewer's handle.
at the top of it is a link to a self-help guide that you should find very helpful.
If you have questions after that, post them on the FAQ Newbie Board and people will assist you there.
You can't just fill out a profile for yourself. It needs to come from a reviewer.
You can however post on your local ad board that you're new to TER and hope someone books an appointment and then submits a review. Some providers even offer discounts for posting a review.
Be careful what you wish for.
And a quick way to get banned.
can get banned. Haven't met a hooker yet that was worth getting banned over.

This topic is much discussed on the Newbie Board. You CAN offer discounts and promotions, but not in exchange for a review. Here are some leads; read the entire thread, not just one post:
No quid pro quos. Promotions vs Discounts.

TLDR, but did any of these posts actually come from Admin? maybe the policy changed, maybe admin looked th eother way, but there was a time as recently as 2018 when it was not uncommon to offer review specials on the Ad boards.
I has been discussed often. It was generaly accepted that TER didn't allow it. Once I asked admin and was told a discount for a review was OK but it was not OK to give discounts for a good review. Then of course the discussion took off on well it isn't a good idea good or bad, too easy to abuse, yada, yada, yada. I'm currently looking for the spot on TER where I read the statement about not giving discounts for a good review.
Scroll down to nearly the end of the page of the ReviewFAQ's to number 13. It uses the term "good review". I believe this is where I saw this during the discussion from years ago. It looks like the wording in this section has been changed now but the "good review" term is still there. I seem to recall other admin disagreeing with the admin I mentioned in my above post.
After this round of discussion the advice to providers became offer discounts to TER members because they would be more likely to review but don't connect the discount to the review.
I know perfectstorm will probably be able to find these discussions. I'm not having any luck. His search skills are far superior to mine.
Your advice, and recollection is actually spot on. Please remember everyone that TER has written and unwritten rules, unwritten rules are often just the way TER interprets and enforces the written rules.
TER has always pretty much gone on "intent" where it comes to discounts for reviews, if they get it in their head that there was a quid pro quo "You write a good review for me and I give you a discount" you can pretty much count on that review coming down and punitive measures being taken against the provider, but a simple "discount for reviewers" is actually looked kindly on by TER because it benefits EVERYONE involved, keep in mind TER derives its value and most of its income by having the largest database of reviews in the world, they are obviously interested in growing that database, especially right now since there was an almost two year gap where virtually no reviews were added.
Here’s a thread from the newbie board from 2017 about this topic. This is probably the one you were talking about. Admin chimed in twice in this thread, and made it clear thatvdisvoubt for reviews was not allowed.

I had no idea that was the case.
had a great time with you, or better yet, he has returned for a second visit, there is nothing wrong with asking him to write a review for you on TER. I've had several ladies ask me in the past. I just wait several weeks so they don't connect the real me to CDL from the contents of the review. Not everyone in this game is on TER, but a few years ago, over 100,000 members might be logged on at any given time, so changes are, a lot of the men you see know about TER even if that's not how they found you.
I'll write reviews on request, but I won't necessarily see someone who wants a review -- usually because their price point is too high. That puts me in the position of paying top dollar for an un-reviewed person. The reviews I have written have mostly been for established pros. They didn't request the reviews either. I've mostly gotten out of writing reviews because they basically just reiterate the previous reviews. That's why I am mostly open to reviews of newbies, but on the other hand, not willing to pay top dollar to unknowns. So I really haven't written any reviews in a while (not just because TER was sidelined.) Although I do have a review coming up -- first time in two years I think. Just working on it now.

I'm sry my question has bothered you. Since you seem like an admin, you can delete it. As I said, I'm new here. So pardon me for posting in the wrong place. Maybe sometime we can get together, ya know, so your can fill me in on how perfect you are 😘
Your question didn’t bother me at all. I can’t delete your post and I wouldn’t if I could. I know you are new. I was trying to help you. I wasn’t scolding you. I am also not an admin, but I am the host of the newbie board. I was just letting you know that the newbie board is a better place to ask newbie questions, than the general discussion board.
Because you are a newbie, I thought you might be lost and didn’t even realize that people already answered your questions weeks ago. Maybe you even forgot you posted there. Since newbies are moderated and their posts don’t go up right away, some of them don’t even realize their post went up at all, and never go back to check if there were replies. You might have missed them. I was just trying to remind you that you posted there weeks ago and did receive good answers. I am just suggesting you go back to the newbie board and read the replies you already have, and follow their advice. (Especially to read the self help manual). Then go back to the newbie board to ask specific questions, or for clarifications.
I apologize for coming off the wrong way. That was not my intent at all. I am always available for assisting newbies in navigating TER. We know it isn’t easy. There are also many other helpful people that are willing to help such as xyz23, mrfisher, GaGambler, and providers such as Debra and Steph.
Good luck, take care, Hope I can be of assistance in the future. ✌🏼

Unless someone else uses the same name.
If it is your, contact TER and ask them to link it to your username. Then every time you post, the direct link to your reviews will be under your name. Also you will have the limited provider VIP which will give you access to the juicy details of your own reviews and access to The PM system.
